After Class

New Year's Eve Pt. 2

"I want to thank eveyone for coming out here tonight despite the freezing temperature and, let me just say, you all look freaking hot! So an applause for you guys!", I said in the mic as I started to clap.

It was currently 8:00 and since everyone had already eaten the extensive 3 course meal, my parents thought it would be a good idea for me to do the welcoming for the party.

Everybody was having a great time and the Event Center looked breathtakingly beautiful.

It was a winter wonderland for sure!

There were circle tables set on left side of the event center and on the right as well. The dance floor, which was the biggest dance floor I had ever seen, was placed on the middle seperating the left from the right.

By the main enterance was the best DJ from Westport, Dj Donnie. There was a big yet small stage next to the dance floor, also in between the room and that's were my parents had small yet noticable propaganda for MirelesMontalvo, their real estate company. It was the same very stage was where I was talking.

I was wearing my red 2 piece dress and it was still flawless on me. My parents did not like that I did not abide by the dress code but figured it was better than me going naked.

They just didn't want to admit that I looked like a fucking angel.

I had curled my hair and had done my makeup to the level of perfection. I was wearing my favorite pair of black plumps that gave me about an extra 4 inches and I had also chosen some fine pieces of jewelry to wear as well.

"Welcome to the annual MirelesMontalvo New Year's Eve Party! Now New Year's Eve is the last day of an old year and the start of an even better year.

I like to think of it as a clean slate. Whatever you did that you regret, like lets say you threw up on your wife on your wedding day because you were hella drunk, will hopefully be forgotten, and the things that you cherish the most, like the birth of your child or your engagement will always be  remembered. Now I'm sure that you all have some sort of New Year resolutions like losing weight or finding that special someone, well you should consider finding the place of your dreams as a number one resolution this year.

That's why I recommend hiring my parents, Evelyn Mireles and Arnold Montalvo, as your go to real estate people. If you can find funny cat videos on YouTube then you bet my parents can find you a nice house. Now enough of me talking, I want you all to have all the fun in the world tonight and the rest of your lives. I'm Aria Fields and Happy New Year's Eve WestPort!", I said. I put the mic back on the mic stand and walked off stage.

I recieved a thumbs up from Julian because he was he only one who saw me. My parents were both already recieving clients. I was walking back to my table when I received a phone call from Spencer.

"Hey Spence, where the-".

I automatically heard loud crying coming from Spencer,"Aria, Joshua and his family had a car accident on the road to Michigan. It.. it was bad".

I immediately went pale.

I decided I had to step outside,"Joshua? Didn't they take a plane?".

"Joshua's parents don't believe in planes. Aria, I just recieved a phone call from Joshua's grandparents and they siad they had to call a chopper to take him and his parents to the nearest hospital in Michigan. I can't go to the party, I need to be with him".

"I'm coming with you Spence. I-".

I heard sniffles,"No! No! Aria, stay where you are. My parents alreay bought plane tickets, we're packing and heading toward the airport right now".
