Chapter 2

"Hey Danielle can you help me with these papers? I'm not even sure where these are supposed to be put in."

Claudia asked as she leaned against Danielle's classroom door. Danielle looked up from the piles of paperwork she had to finish grading before giving a small smile at Claudia.

"If you don't mind me doing them later tonight. I'm kind of stuck in the middle of the children's assignments." She said giving a small wave of the paper.

Noticing how stressed out the blonde was Claudia made her way inside pulling up a chair to her desk. Danielle looked at her co-worker with a confused look on her pale face. Claudia gave her a smile grabbing half of the stacked paperwork setting them in front of her.

"Don't worry I'll help you with this and we can later file the other papers."

Danielle stared at the brunette in awe as her heart tugged a bit from how sweet the Spanish woman in front of her is. Her lips twitched up in a smile before focusing her attention back at the papers that needed to be graded. A comfortable silence fell upon both women as they scribbled on the papers. Occasionally the females would make small talk about how their day went and such.

"So, what are you doing tomorrow night?"

Danielle looked up in wonderment as the brunette in front of her kept scribbling down not once looking at the blonde's way.

"Um, probably just end up eating ice cream and watching Netflix." the words seemed to escape the blonde's mouth without her realizing it until the amused expression on Claudia's face made her cheeks blush bright red.

'Great! Nice job Dani. She probably thinks I have no life now.' Danielle thought slightly embarrassed at the idea of her co-worker assuming Danielle had nothing better to do. Which wasn't a total lie.

She didn't necessarily know anyone around the small town besides the workers that worked here at the private academy. That is until an image of a smiling Roman flashed in her mind. Roman Romero, the charming man that she accidentally bumped into and made a complete fool out of herself. She didn't know what it was about the man that made her insides tingle. Could it be his eyes? Or maybe the way his charming smile makes her stomach flip uncontrollably.

"Danielle?"

Another image of Roman's smile popped inside her mind as she bit her bottom lip slightly. Who knew such a man would make her feel this way? Especially from only meeting him a few weeks ago. Yet she couldn't understand the need to make her fingers go through his unruly dark brown hair, or even just slide her hands down his bulky arms.

"Danielleeee?"

By now, Danielle couldn't even hear Claudia's attempts in bringing her back to the conversation at hand. The blonde was simply too busy in her own fantasy land that Claudia snapped her delicate fingers in front of Danielle's tomato looking face. The blonde then snapped out of her dreamland, confused.

"Uh, what?"

Claudia laughed, amused at the sight in front of her. No doubt Claudia knew she was probably thinking of her alpha knowing fully well the blonde that was sitting right in front of her was her soon to be Luna.

Danielle quickly coughed before sitting up straight and opening her half empty water bottle. The blonde took a big gulp of the water trying to calm down her hormones.

'Ugh! Now's not the time to even be thinking of him!' She angrily thought to herself while slamming down the bottled water on her desk making some of the contents inside to spill out. Claudia smiled to herself before putting her pen down.
