I've always wanted to be somebody's little girl -
daddy's little girl would've suited me just fine;
but his interest has been long gone.

I've always wanted to be somebody's love - somebody's sweet, sweet love.
Someone who's lover refuses to leave their side.
I long for a true love that's so strong,
the mental eye could see it in the blue skies.
But those titles were given away to other people before I even had a chance at them.
Just one chance would've been nice.
If you take your harsh little words away,
maybe you'd see that I'm a good candidate for both titles.
You chose not to see.
