The wind was increasing its tempo, it was as if the world wanted to end. Anica searched for her baby girl who went out to play with other kids 2 hours earlier. She was getting really worried, I mean isn't that what all mothers do? Always worrying about the husband and kids or something, As she walked down the pathway leading to her house she grew more frantic with worry , "maybe she's in the house alredy" she said under her her breathe, when she got home, not a single soul was inside, her husband who was outside searching for their nine years old daughter came inside without Thier child, She began to panic
"Richard where's my baby , where's my baby girl?" She gripped the hem of his shirt while sobbing
"She will be home soon" its not like her to stay out so late," he tried to console her quick lock up the windows and doors it's about to rain"
Said Richard, Anica's husband while running inside and making useless efforts to close the door
"But My baby girl Richard, how will she get in?"
Anica's asked him with worry all over her face.
His brows drew together shoulders down while still lost in thought some men barged into Thier house,
While
her husband went to confront them she hid behind the counter, although she never intended to eavesdrop but her curiosity overcame her "....we just want your daughter.. She over heard them talking, What do they mean by they wanted her daughter? For what ? She leaned in so she can hear them clearly, because they were not making any sense at all She did not even know where her baby was as the moment, with the frustrations of her baby missing and the heavy rain brewing up she she could no longer stand the conversation from the Intruders "..... The future of your village rests in your hand give us your daughter and we will leave peacefully"Arnica stepped out of her hiding place " what do you want with my daughter, do you know her whereabouts?........." She knew her daughter was special, but nobody else knew about, not even her husband.
Richard turned around at hearing his wife's voice and that was his undoing, as one of the men grabbed and hooked him at the neck in a hostage situation "Nica get back!" He shouted, the intruder holding him brought out a gun "take us to your daughter or he dies" he said to Anica while
pointing the gun at Richard head "b-but I don't know where she is" Anica's stammered.
"Arrghh this is boring me, Kill him and let's get this over with" said one of the men who appeared to be in charge.
"Are you sure Z" the man holding Richard asked
"They boss said nothing should go wrong which includes not having any witnesses, " he answered "so shoot him already unless he wants to tell us where the child is"
Anica watched as they killed her husband and those bastards still requested for her daughter and she will be damned if she told them anything "you can kill me too but I won't tell you where my daughter is and fair warning killing me won't be easy" Anica prayed her daughter was safe wherever she was
"oh look at the pretty lady stepping up to save her precious daughter" Z sized her up looking from head to toe "hmmm I think I hv more fun way to get information out of you"
They all laughed, but as one of them came to carry she stood her ground and fought for her daughter and husband No way was she going without a fight ; her daughter loved her fighting skills and told her she would grow up to be a fighter like her. she managed to knock out two men before z got frustrated and shot her knee , this crippled her and gave them the upper hand, He slapped her and dragged her across the room to the cold outside , he tortured her while repeatedly asking about the little girls whereabouts, when she did not give him the answer he wanted, he stripped her with the intention of her freezing to death by the harsh cold wind.
