I speed walk back from the park, where I go to clear my mind. Today, that was the fact that I have to marry someone I haven't even met! I know, sucks right? Anyways, I have to get this disguise off! It's annoying. You may be wondering why I'm wearing a disguise in the middle of town. Well, I so happen to be a princess. Princess Lucy Heartfilia, of the kingdom of Fiore.
Yeah, it's kinda a hassle to have people staring at you when you're trying to get something done. So anyways, I continue walking down the street back to the castle, watching the river flow past the castle gates, when I crash into something and fall over.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" I ask, realizing the thing I bumped into was in fact a person.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He chuckles.
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going!"
"Seriously, it's fine! Relax a little, would you? Anyways, what were you thinking about that made you zone out like that?" I look up at him. Pink hair? Well, that's...interesting...
"Nothing important." Lies. I was always a good liar, having to sneak away from the castle my whole life. I never liked being confined to that castle, especially after my mother died. She and my father were the only ones in the castle that cared about me. Well, that changed overtime. She fell ill, the doctors couldn't cure her. I was alone after that, my father abandoned me. He blamed me for my mother's death, as I was the one to find her body. And now that I am the only heir to Fiore's throne, he's marrying me off to some stranger that I've never even met! Anyways, back to the story.
I hear the city bells ringing, alerting me to the fact that it was almost 5.
"I'm so sorry, I have to go." I say.
"Wait! What's your name?" He asks. I hesitate, I don't want anyone to recognize me.
"...Lucy." I say warily. He grins at me.
"I think I'm gonna call you Luce! Well, see you around, Luce!" He turns and walks away with a little wave. I start walking, but suddenly stop and turn.
"Wait!" I shout, but he doesn't hear.
Hmm...Luce...I like how that sounds. Oh well, maybe I will see him around.
--BACK AT THE CASTLE--
I snuck back up to my chambers. You may think that my room is childish, since it's mostly pink, but it reminds me of my mother. I collapse on my massive queen sized bed. Some may envy my position as princess of Fiore, but it's not all roses and sunshine. It's so lonely. My father hardly lets me out of the castle (like that stopped me anyway) and I don't have any real friends. All of the friends I have are only after my inherited fortune.
"Lucy!" I hear a knock on the door accompanied by my father's voice.
"Yes, father?"
"The meeting with the Dragneels is about to start, get ready."
"Yes, father." I call back as I groan and push myself from the bed.
I head to the bathroom to get ready.
--30 MINUTES LATER--
"You're late." A cold voice greets me as I open the giant oak doors to the dining room.
"I am very sorry father, I was getting ready and lost track of time."
"Sit here. This is Prince Natsu Dragneel, of the neighboring country of Kasai (A/N: according to Google Translate, it means fire in Japanese).
"..." There was an awkward silence as recognition lit up in his eyes. I discreetly shake my head, telling him not to say anything. He nods, understanding.
"Lady Lucy Heartfilia, I am delighted to make your acquaintance." He politely greets me. I stared, shocked. He was nothing like how he was when I bumped into him! At the time, he seemed so laid back and relaxed. Now, he's so polite and poised.
"And the same to you, Prince Natsu Dragneel." I reply, never losing eye contact. Our fathers leave the room to let talk about the joining of their kingdoms.
"Hello stranger!" Natsu grins at me, immediately losing his perfect posture.
"Hello, stranger." I smile at him.
"So, you're Lucy Heartfilia. I should have known, I mean, I was in your country." That reminds me.
"Hey, what were you doing in Magnolia, anyways?" I question him.
"I may or may not sneak out of the castle..." He scratches the back of his head nervously. "Please don't tell my father, he'd flip out."
I giggle.
"I won't tell. In fact, I was doing the same thing as you!"
He chuckles.
"I have an idea. Since we're getting married, why don't we get to know more about each other?" He suggests.
"Sure! You go first."
"Ok, well my favorite color is red, I have a blue cat named Happy-"
"Wait, did I hear correctly? Blue?" I stared incredulously.
"Yeah...long story...when I was a kid, I got into some blue paint and accidentally dunked Happy in...and it never washed out, so now I have a blue cat."
At this point I was laughing really hard...maybe marrying him won't be as bad as I thought it would be.
"...oh! My favorite food is Tabasco sauce, and I have a rival named Gray. He's one of my guards, he has droopy eyes, and he's always eating frozen stuff, so I call him Ice Princess or Freezer Butt."
I laugh even harder at the fact that he was a prince, yet he was so immature.
"Hey, Luce, do you have any friends?"
I was brought back to reality as he asked this question.
"U-um...I-...no I don't have any friends." I say with my head down, feeling dejected.
"Well then I'll be your first friend!" Natsu declares.
"I-I'd like that.." I say shyly.
"Now, tell me about yourself!" Natsu looks at me.
"W-well, my favorite color is pink, I love reading and writing, and I'm writing my own novel."
"Hey Luce?"
"Yeah Natsu?"
"I'm hungry. Can we go eat?"
"Sure, but the kitchens are closed, we have to sneak in."
Mischief lights up his eyes as I giggle and show him the kitchens.
His eyes light up like a little kid's on Christmas morning.
Suddenly, I trip, causing me to crash into Natsu for the second time today.
I blush at the position we were in. He had rolled over due to the momentum of the crash, effectively trapping me underneath him. We're frozen in place for what feels like forever, when he suddenly dips down and crashes his lips onto mine.
I squeal in surprise at the warm pressure on my lips.
He quickly pulled away with a blush on his face.
"I-I'm sorry I don't know wh-"
I effectively shut him up by kissing him again. He then picks me up bridal style and carries me to my chambers. (A/N: IT GETS STEAMY! YOUNG READERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!) He sets me down on the bed, kissing me again, more heated and passionate this time. He bites my bottom lip, asking for permission. I grant it to him, and his tongue immediately explores my mouth. I moan at the sudden contact. He smirks against my mouth when he hears my needy moan. I shudder at the feeling of arousal in my lower stomach. I moan louder when I feel him grind against me. I know I had just met him today, but this feels so...right. I push myself up against him, feeling him groan into my mouth.
Suddenly, the door bursts open, and in its wake is no other than King Igneel, stifling a laugh at the sight. Natsu and I jump apart, and I shove him off the bed, blushing in embarrassment.
King Igneel finally stops his laughing fit and regains his composure.
"So you do know where to stick it, Natsu!" He teases his son. Natsu turns even more red as he grumbles, cursing his father.
"Come on, Natsu. Your mother and Wendy are probably worried. I forgot to tell them where we went....oops...anyways, I'll be waiting in the dining room."
Natsu's father closes the door behind him. I turned to face Natsu and gave him one last kiss before he left.

--TIME SKIP 1 YEAR--
I sit deep in thought as Juvia finishes doing my hair for the wedding. I'm really nervous. I hope this wedding turns out ok. I'm more nervous than would be expected of a bride, since Natsu and I have a special announcement to make.
"Ready, Lu~chan?" My maid of honor, Levy, looks at my dress, hair, and makeup one last time before the wedding starts.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I say as I take a deep breath to calm my nerves.
Suddenly, the bridal music starts.
I take another deep breath and start walking down the aisle. Everyone is watching me, but I can only see one thing, Natsu. We never break eye contact as I walk to him, standing next to him, waiting for the vows to start. I smile and murmur, "Hello, stranger."
"Hello stranger." He smiles back at me, immediately calming my nerves.
(A/N: skipping vows cuz idk them/ I'm lazy)
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest says, and immediately Natsu kisses me the hardest he's ever kissed me, as if trying to convey all of his feelings through this one kiss. The audience cheers and claps for their new King and Queen. As we pull apart, the waiters and waitresses bring out food and drink on expensive golden platters. Natsu grabs my hand and takes me to the dance floor to share the first dance. As the music plays, we sway, never breaking eye contact. We're silent, but it's a comfortable silence. He kisses me sweetly as the music ends.
"I love you."
"I love you too." I giggle as he gives a lopsided grin.
"We should probably announce it now, Natsu."
"Yeah, ok."
We walk up to the stage, and call everyone's attention.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the newlyweds have an announcement to make!"
"Natsu and I would like to make an announcement," I called out to the audience.
"I'm pregnant!"
Natsu then smirks and dips me down while kissing me, earning an "Aww!" from the audience as it breaks out into cheers again at the announcement.

--TIME SKIP 9 MONTHS--
I hold my baby in my arms as I lay on the hospital bed, exhausted. She stares up at me with her chocolate brown eyes. She got Natsu's pink hair.
"Nashi. Nashi Luna Dragneel." I name her.
"What? Natsu asks.
"Her name, Natsu." I say with a smile.
"It's beautiful."
We share a kiss, holding Nashi, Fiore's newborn princess, as tears of joy find their way to my eyes.
