"Mommy?" Kalie asks as she tries to wake her mom up at 3:00 in the morning.
"Yes, Sweetheart?" Mom hesitated.
"Mommy, I think I heard someone."
"It's okay hun. Want me to sleep with you tonight?"
"Yes mommy."
They both walked to Kalie's bedroom, as mom trips on a toy and lands face first.
"Mommy are you alright?" Kalie yelled.
Dad then woke up with horror. "What happened?" He yelled.
"Kalie had a nightmare. I was going to sleep with her when I accidently tripped on a toy."
"NO MOMMY! IT WASN'T A NIGHTMARE!!!"
"Then what happened sweetie?"
"Mommy I told you, I heard someone!"
"Check the windows to see if anyone is here, Robert."
"Nope, no one."
"Okay, sweetie let's just try to go to bed."
In the morning, mom woke up in Kalie's bed without kalie in it. Mom darted out of bed and noticed Kalie and dad making breakfast.
"So, I think we should take her to a hospital. I think she is.... you know... a skitzo..."
"Hun, we aren't going to do that. She is 7! She probably just had a nightmare and didn't realize it WAS a nightmare!"
"Okay, but if this happens again, she's going to the doctor!"
Kalie overheard this, but stayed calm.
