I woke up in the middle of a hot summer night for some reason.

Maybe the heat woke me up but I’ve never woke at this hour before.

I can tell it’s late in the evening or maybe even past midnight by the sound I’m hearing.

Silence.

No sound of cars honking or people chattering.

Only my breathing was audible.

I sat up and tried searching for the remote controller of the air conditioning.

My hands eagerly tried to feel a rectangular object with buttons and stuff but they failed.

I sighed audibly as the irritating heat continued attacking my skin making me produce beads of sweat.

I scratched my temples as the itchy sensation of the bandage became active.

But all of a sudden, they just fell off!

Maybe I scratched too hard.

Suddenly a cool swift wind blew from the windows.

Oh it felt so damn good.

Thank goodness Kat let them opened.

Involuntarily, my hands rubbed my eyes trying to wipe off the sweat.

And for no apparent reason, after I felt my eyelids finally dry, I tried opening my eyes.

And surprisingly, a blurry image of a room, lit by the great blue light casted by the Mother Moon, welcomed my vision.

My heartbeat pounded like a hammer as, for a very long time, darkness was absent.

I felt a smile creeping across my lips.

Could this be possible?

Is this a dream?

But the cool air blowing, caressing my skin told me it isn’t.

I blinked my eyes and still, the image stayed.

Blurry, yes, but it’s enough beauty for a blind boy like me.

Suddenly, flashes of another blurry image came to my senses.

A blurry, indistinct picture of a man looking down at me.

Hazel brown orbs shining with delight and sorrow at the same time.

I’ve seen this vague vision before.

I’m just not that sure if it was all in my head or it really happened.

But still.

It couldn’t be just my imaginations.

I wouldn’t be even visualizing things like these if, somehow, it didn’t happen in reality.

I know it.

If this happened to me before,

Then…

Would it be possible?

That I…

This time my hands searched for a different object.

Pressing the familiar button designed to call a nurse in case of emergency, I have a story or two to tell Allison.
