"Doris, honey get your feet off the table!"

"Pull that skirt down!"

"Close your legs!"

"Chew like a lady!"

"Don't run"

"Stop with the candy!"

I get yelled at all day for the most simple things. If I wear a dress, it has to be pretty and just above your knees. If I wear a skirt it has to go down. And if I wear jeans I have to pull them up. If I wear a low cut shirt I have to put something over it. If I chew gum I have to be quiet. But I anyways don't get it.

I'm sixteen and the most carefree person. I eat like a pig, I chew like a pig, I dress like a pig and I am a pig, but pigs are cute so fuck you.

"How long till we get there? You've had me waiting for a week mom" I roll my eyes as I braid my hair for the fifth time this morning and chew my watermelon flavored gum.

"Doll I've had you waiting for a reason and that's because everything has to be perfect" she answered as she  gave me a warm smile. Dad rolled his eyes and gave me a look through the rear view mirror making me giggle
Before mom could say something dad parked right in front of our new home

"We're here!" Dad yelled, he too has been waiting a week for this house to be ready and for us to move in. Mom wanted to keep it a secret and get this new house a new start and buy new furniture and completely do everything, so she made me throw away some of my favorite dresses and made me go buy new ones.

"Great, Doris pull that crazy braid off your hair, I've told you three times today to take it down" she walked towards me and unbraided it and putting my long hair down letting it fall. I huffed and crossed my arms as I chewed and glared up at her. Her purse clutched between her legs as she worked on my hair.

Honestly I was up to her boobs so  either I'm pretty small of she's too tall. I'm gonna go for the second option.

She muttered some words I could not care about as I spent my time looking at my shoes.

"Ow it hurts" I wince as she pulled my hair.

"I told you to take it down, you never listen, you're so stubborn, more than a baby. You never listen, oh my God Doris when can you be calm for a second" she huffed. She then finished and smiled at her result.

"Alright Jim, let's go in. Now, I have all your things nice and neat. Doris your room is the only one upstairs because I know you're gonna be running around and be noisy so we are gonna be downstairs for a change. Both of you, I want no mess" she wants everything perfect. Dad and I roll our eyes and try to step around the many flowers she put on our front yard. Quickly going up the stairs to our very big porch with a swinging chair which I'm assuming is for me. Quickly I sat down and swung as they went inside. It didn't swing as much as I wanted it to but it was okay.

"Doris! Get in here!" She yelled, I jumped off making my dress fly everywhere as I ran inside and stepped in the living room which was big and had a fire place.

"I didn't get carpet because we all know who the queen of messes is" she look at me.

I roll my eyes as we continue the rest of our little tour. It was a maze but I'll learn.

She continued on until she sent away my dad and lead me up the very long stairs that led to the top floor.

"This is your room, now, I've set your favorite shampoos and everything in the bathroom that's in your room. Your clothes are folded and done, and your bed is made. I want it clean, understood?" I nodded and walked in.  I wasn't excited because my mom made this so I just closed the door and laid in bed. It was big and I had my own bathroom but all I wanted to do is play outside in the sprinklers but mom didn't let me.

She said my dress was gonna get wet and dirt was gonna get all over it and it would be a hassle to remove.

"Honey, your mom wants you to meet someone" dad knocked not the door.

"I'm sleeping" I groaned and stood. My dirty old vans probably getting even more ruined as I dragged my feet downstairs and out the front lawn. Mom stood there talking with man, which was probably our next door neighbor. He was cute but not my type, I usually went for guys with straight hair and quiffed up. He had the curly hair.

"Doris I want you to meet Mr. Styles our next door neighbor, he helped me find a school around here. He's gonna be your new school principal" how weird. He gave me a smile.

"Hey Doris im Mr. Styles nice meeting you" he also had a British accent, bummer.
His hand extended

"Hi, I'm doris" I chewed on my gum as I hesitated to shake his hand. I'm not here to make friends with my principal.

"I promised Mr. Styles here we would invite him over for dinner on our first night so we'll see you tonight" she smiled. The man whome I've already forgotten the name of gave me one last glance before giving his goodbyes and leaving back into his house which was a bit bigger than ours.

"Next time, be nicer" mom scolded me. Dad chuckled and gave me a small tug on the hair making me glare.

"Let me be" I snapped, he laughed as I ran into my room.
