elaine cadson
elaine was silent during the busride. her mother
blabbered about ms.hemmings and his brother that
works also as a biology teacher for the juniors. from
the likes of it, elaine's mother was interested with the
brother of ms.hemmings.
as the bus stopped, elaine gathered her notebook
and pin and clipped it. "mom, i'll be in charge of dinner
for tonight." with no doubt, her mother simply nodded.
as soon as they went inside their house, her mother
decided to take a long bath and self-spa to herself as
her daughter cooked food.
she didn't know why she had to pick him.
she didn't know why he was so mean.
she thought he was everything. but he wasn't
as near as being a prince charming.
june called as soon as she can and asked about
the love letter. "yes june, i really do need a love letter
now that valentines is approaching. do you think i should
give myself flowers?"
"don't be too silly, elaine. you're pretty, you just don't..
use cosmetics or even hit the gym. and the potatoes."
june admitted.
"it's alright, i consume my sad heart. how about you,
have you been so insecure you decided to be a normal
kid?"
"everyone's normal."
"not me, june. i am just...oversized?" she tried to joke
but only a coarse laughter and sarcasm mixed in. she
laughed on and on and seconds passed by, june hung up
leaving her sobbing her heart out.
