Chapter 7: Tragedy Date
Garcia's POV
4 o'clock, finally, it's time for me to go home and get ready for my coffee date with Morgan
I left the building in a bit of a hurry and got a few weird looks from my fellow co-workers, but what do they expect, I'm on my way home to get ready for my coffee date with the very hot Derek Morgan, and I'm pretty sure if anyone else were in my shoes they'd be the exact same way as well. Now I know I told him yesterday that I didn't want this to be considered a date also, I'm not ready for a new relationship yet after everthing that happened with Josh, but come on people I'm not completely blind or stupid, I can see what an amazing guy I'm missing out on, but I'm just not ready
Rushing around my apartment I decided to hop in a take a quick shower to freshen up. I turned on the water and waited until it was the right temperature. When it was right, I stepped in and gathered all the things I need for my shower from the shelf
Once I finished with my shower, I went into my bedroom and decided on what to wear. I finally decided on my favorite turquoise knee length dress with a thin black cardigan, and my black high heels which I normally only wear for outing such as this one
Finally satisfied with my outfit, I then moved on to perfecting my hair and makeup. I decided to go with loose straightener curls and minimal makeup which included a little eye liner and mascara, a little eye shadow and a light pink lipgloss
After having everything ready to go, I decide to call Morgan and give him the directions to my apartment and tell him he can come pick me up now
It takes a few minutes before he answers
'Hello" he answers
"Hey Morgan, I'm ready to go whenever you are" I reply
"Ok, so where do you live exactly?" he questions
"My apartment complex is located on 187 Templeton Street, my apartment is number 25" I say giving him the location of my apartment complex
"Alrighty then, give me ten minutes to get from my place to yours, I'll text you when I'm there" he said
"Ok, see you soon" I said as I ended the call
Ten minutes later I hear my phone beeping, telling me I have a new text
-New Text Message-
From: Morgan :)
Hey, I'm outside, come down when your ready :)
After reading the text, I reply that I'd be down shortly, while walking out of my apartment shutting the lights off as I go and locking the door
It takes me all of two minutes to make it down to the lobby of the apartment complex, I wait in the porch as Morgan brings his car around
I walk ouside just as Morgan walks around the front of the car. I take this opportunity to really look at him
He's dressed casually in a white t-shirt, a black sweater, jeans, a black ball cap, and navy sneakers. I swear this is the first time I've seen him dressed so casually since I met him almost one month ago now. But damn, I have got to say he looks hot dressed this way
"Penelope?" he asks snapping me out of my gaze
"Yea?" I say coming back to reality
"Are you ready to go?" he questions concern evident in his words
"Yea, I'm ready" I reply, kind of embarrassed that he caught me staring, but he doesn't mention anything, which I'm greatful for
"Alrighty then, let's get going, it's going to take about fifteen minutes to get to the coffee shop, since it takes about ten minutes to get to the BAU from here, and then it takes about another five minutes to get from the BAU to the coffee shop" he informed me
"Ok, well I guess we bettter get going then the coffee shop closes at 5:30, and it's already 4:45" I say while heading to the door to get in the car, but before I have a chance to open it, I feel a hand on mine, not permitting me to open the door. When I look up it's Morgan who is keeping me from opening the door
I look at him puzzled "Is something wrong?" I asked thinking that I did something wrong
A smirk makes it's way to his face "Hey now pretty lady don't go getting your feathers in a bunch, everything's fine, I just want to open the door for you that's all" he reassures me
"Oh ok" is all I could manage to say
The ride to the coffee shop was spent mostly in silence, but not a uneasy silence just a comfortable one
During the ride I was able to gather my slightly dazed and stray thoughts, and glance a few times across the divider between the seats at the unmistakably hot and sexy Morgan
Unfortunately, one of the last glances I took, he caught me staring at him, and he teased me about it for the rest of the ride to the coffee shop
"Like what you see?" he asks playfully, clearly enjoying seeing me squirm in my seat
"Yes, I mean.. umm.. no.. I mean.. ughhh I don't know" I try to say, but my words come out a jumbled mess with my embarrassment clear in my voice
"Haha, don't worry about it, not many people can resist my Morgan charm" he says nonchalantly his personality clearly showing through his words
"So that's what you call it, your Morgan charm? Ha, I thought it was just you trying to be some big hot shot, which your clearly not!" I realiate teasingly my confidence building
"Man girl that hurt, that hurt right to the heart" he exaggeratedly said while placing one hand over his heart and still having one hand on the wheel
"Oh sush you!" I say slapping his arm playfully
"Your lucky we're only a few feet away from the coffee shop, or I might've made you walk the rest of the way, and this way I can't hold a grudge against you either!" he laughingly says
"Oh I'm so happy about that!" I laugh while rolling my eyes
Once we made it to the coffee shop, Morgan dropped me off at the entrance while he parked the car
The view inside the entrance was phenomenal. It was decorated in black, gold and silver. The walls, the floor, everything was beautifully decorated in this color scheme
"I forgot how beautiful this place is" I said still admiring the beauty of the room
"Not as beautiful as you though" Morgan says coming up behind me from parking the car
"Why thank you Mr. Cheesy pants" I say mockingly
"Hahaha very funny, now why don't you go sit down while I get our drinks. What would you like?" he suggests
"A hot de-caffe latte" I say giving him my order
"Ok then, I'll be back in a flash" he says while walking to the cash to order our drinks
I then walk over to a table close to the window. It's a beautiful day out so I want to be able to look at the beauty of the street in the sunlight
"Here you go my lady" Morgan says very charmingly while handing me my de-caffe latte
"Why thank you kind sir" I reply most lady like
He then sits down on the chair across from me placing his black coffee on the table in front of him
We then proceeded to talk about random things such as some of the minor detaiils of the case we are currently dealing with at the BAU, and also about things like the weather, and the view from inside the cafe, when all of a sudden I hear a bang, and then everything goes black.....
Ouhhhhh suspense! Muhahahaha, anyways guys there it is Chapter 7! It seems to me that this was one of my faster updates in a while, but I have bad news, I recently started school again so I'm gunna be busy alot, so that means more spiratic updates. I know, I know you hate it, but it can't be avoided, I'll try to update as much and as quick as I can but I can't make any promises, but be reassured, I WILL UPDATE AT SOME POINT!
