Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
I jolted from my sleep, wincing at the sudden sunlight peering through my bedroom window. Smacking the snooze button, I climbed out of bed, only because I didn't want to be yelled at for missing the bus. I took a second to read the time on the clock:
7:00 AM.
At this point, I have approximately 30 minutes to get my shit together and get to the stop, despite the chilly fall air. It's October, so it should've been expected, but the atmosphere change between summer and fall always gets me.
Eventually, I had my "outfit of the day" on; some light wash denim jeans with a dusty red tee, a floral vest, and a tan-ish colored scarf. I didn't bother to do my hair at all- I'm just way too lazy for that. Taking my backpack, I rushed out of the door, into the outdoors, and here I am: walking my ass to the bus stop to await the next eight hours of hell.

Reaching my bus stop, I checked the time. My watch read 7:25 AM- giving me five minutes of the wait game. I'm typically alone at this spot, considering the fact I'm the only kid on my street that attends Camisado Acadmey. I had no wifi where I was, so I couldn't really use my phone for music. Stupid data plan.

When the bus came, I trudged to my seat in the far back of the bus, making eye contact with no one. I mean, I barely know any of these kids on my bus. Camisado Academy is actually quite big in size, which is probably why most of these rats are unknown to me.

Sit alone. Sleep. Wake up. That's the normal bus routine.

Soon enough the yellow machine from hell rolled up at satan's gates, and I found myself at my home for the net few hours. I kept an eye out for my friends Spencer, Jon, and Dallon, but that task was interrupted due to my nosy self hearing some talk about a new "club". I low-key eavesdropped on a convo between a boy and a girl, whom I have no clue of their identity:

"Hey had you heard of the new club opening up today after school?"
"No, I haven't. What is it?"
"I think it's called 'ally support' or 'safe haven'. I dunno. But it's in room 41 after school today and it's a safe place for lgbtq+ kids! Finally, a place for us."
"Oh sweet! I'll check it out then!"

And there is where I drew the line and walked away; that was all the information I needed. I figured I would stop by considering the fact I needed something extra for my resumé, it's my junior year and I needed to start prepping for college. Any club will do at this point, on top of my current attention to photography.

Walking around the courtyard, Spencer found me quicker than I eavesdropped on the two kids. I've known Spencer practically my entire life, and for him to still be with me is fantastic.

"Hey Ryan! What's up?"
"Oh heyo Spence- ah I was just walking around trying to find ya. Ha ha in the process I did learn about a new club though, happening in room 41 after school today."
"Oh that's cool."

We walked and talked a bit more, finding Dallon and Jon while doing so. Just as according, the school bell did ring and had to say goodbyes for at least the first block of classes, which meant an hour of no friends, and complete bullshit.

I barely even payed attention in math- the only thing that pinged my mind is the growing curiosity about the club in Room 41.
