New Chapter

The door suddenly flew open, causing Ani and Jake to jump apart. Ani's heart was racing, had she almost just kissed him? She knew what kissing him would do to her. Was she suicidal? No…something told her she just wanted to kiss him, to feel his lips press against hers.
They turned and looked at the door. Jason stood there with another guy. The guy had light brown hair that barely touched his forehead with matching eyes. He wore brown shorts with a brown t-shirt.
The guy smirked. "I told you we couldn't leave them alone Jason. Look what almost happened."
Jason rolled his eyes. "It doesn't matter. It's going to happen sooner or later anyway. Leave them alone as much as you want."
Jake stood, his eyes narrowed. "Good morning Sheen. Jason." he glared at both of them, but Ani could see the relief he was attempting to hide. He didn't want to reincarnate her. He was glad that they had come.
Ani tilted her head at Sheen. "Are you an Angel or a Demon?" she asked him. She remembered her parents saying that both Angels and Demons helped her Guardian. So far it seemed true.
Sheen looked at her with a smirk on his face, Ani wondered if he always smirked or if it just fit the situation. "Outcast."
Jake sighed as her saw her confusion. "An Outcast is an Angel or Demon who works for neither side. Most of them just live on Earth though a few work for me. Sheen used to be a Demon."
Ani nodded, her parents had talked about Outcasts but not in great detail. They didn't seem to care for them much. "How many people are here?" she realized now that her parents probably avoided talking about the Outcasts because of who she was.
Jake shrugged and looked at Jason, who rolled his eyes. "Six. Not including me. You have already met four of them, so I think the other two will be here shortly."
Ani nodded. "How long has everyone been here?"
Jake thought for a moment. "Samuel has been here for all but three of your life times, he was the first person to join me. Jason joined during your fifth life time. Sheen joined during your thirty-seventh. Stephen has only been here for six life times now, and the last two came together two life times ago."
Ani blinked, slightly shocked. How many life times had she gone through? She was about to ask Jake when he turned to the others. "Is there a reason you're here?"
Sheen shook his head. "No reason. I just wanted to see the princess. I don't get to meet her very often."
Ani groaned, already hating that title again. "Please don't call me that. Just call me Ani."
Sheen and Jason laughed. Jason looked at her. "You didn't have a problem with it when David said it."
Ani tried, in vain, to hide her blush. "Well I have a problem with it now. So stop." She snapped at them.
Sheen leaned into Jason and pretended to whisper in his ear, but said it loud enough for her to hear. "I told you they slept together."
Ani froze, unable to speak. Had he really just said that? In the blink of an eye Jake was standing in front of Sheen. "You will not speak about her like that. No one has touched her and I will kill anyone who does so without permission." His accent slipped through, though barely.
Sheen took a few steps away from him. "I was just a joke, chill out man." he chuckled nervously.
Jake turned back to Ani. "Jason will you and Sheen please go find the girls for me. They need to meet Ani." He walked back over to the couch and sat back down.
Ani put her feet on the couch as she heard the door close. She watched Jake grab the TV remote and turn on the TV. She froze as she saw David on the news.
"She was kidnapped. I'm telling you her parents are lying. I don't know why I just know they are. Ani's my best friend. She wouldn't just leave like this." David looked horrible. His eyes were sunken in and his skin was deathly pale. What had happened to him?
Ani leaned forward as the camera turned and looked at Luke. He looked annoyed. "Anibeth was your friend wasn't she?" an off screen female announcer asked him.
Luke glanced around before answering. "She sat next to me in our second and fifth period class nothing more." He turned to leave.
The camera followed him. "Wait. What do you think about David's accusations?" she asked him.
Luke glanced back at the camera. "All I have to say is that he took her first. She is right where her mother wants her to be." the screen went black.
Ani turned to yell at Jake for turning off the TV when she noticed he was looking at the door behind them. She turned to see what he was looking at.
Two women stood in front of the door. One of them had platinum blond hair, down to her waist, with matching eyes; she wore a white sun dress. The girl next to her had long dark almost black purple hair down to her waist with matching eyes; she wore a black sun dress.
They smiled together. "Hello Anibeth." they said together. It was creeping Ani out just a little bit.
Jake smiled at them. "Hello. How are the two you of today?"
The girls giggled and blushed. The purple haired one batted her eye lashes. "Better now that were with you."
Ani glared at them. She didn't like they way they flirted with him. Jake was hers, she felt it inside of her. "So who are you?"
The girls looked at her and blinked in confusion. Then the blond one shook her head and chuckled. "Oh how rude. My name is Mary and this is my best friend Kate. We became Outcasts for each other."
Kate nodded. "It is an honor to finally meet you princess." she curtsied.
Ani watched Jake stand and walk over to them, she forced a smile. "It's lovely to meet both of you." She didn’t like them. Something told her that they weren’t here to protect her.
Jake stood next to Mary and placed a hand on her arm. "Why don't you and Kate stay here and get to know Anibeth while I go run some errands?"
Mary seemed to melt and slowly nodded. Kate looked a little upset but melted as well when he gave her a smile. "Be good." he left the room.
Ani looked at the two girls, who looked frozen in their state of bliss. "So...What do you want to do?" she asked them. She was annoyed that Jake had done that…but she had no right to be. Right?
The girls seemed to mentally shake themselves and they looked at her. They gave her their creepy smile and stepped towards her. Ani stood and stepped away.
"We know you have a connection with Jake." Mary said. Kate nodded. "Yes and we need you to understand that Jake belongs to us. You can't have him." they moved closer. Mary agreed. "Even if it were possible for you to have him he could never love you." They cornered her.
Kate grabbed some of her hair. "Besides the fact that he's your Guardian and you would die again if he touched you, you're not very pretty."
Mary turned Ani's head from side to side. "You have the unattractive eyes of a Demon." she looked at Kate. "Your eyes are beautiful." Kate smiled as Mary continued. "And the sickening face of an Angel." Kate interrupted. "Your face isn't sickening Mary." Mary batted her lashes. "Thank you." she turned back to Ani. "You're a half-breed and a mistake. No one could ever love you."
Ani felt something dark stir inside her, her eyes turned a liquid grey and she shoved both of them away. "If either of you every touch me again you will regret it."
Both girls screamed as the TV shattered.
