🚫FOR __CaptainSwan__ ONE SHOT CONTEST🚫

"Luv, I still don't understand the meaning of this ceiling plant. A plant needs water, and soil. How are you supposed to do that when it's not on a flat surface?" Killian raised an eyebrow as he held the step stool for Emma.

"Because... it's not... a real plant." Emma struggled to hang the mistletoe to the ceiling.

"I still don't seem to understand."

Emma grabbed Killian's hand as she stepped down steps, of the tiny, yet dangerous stairs.

"It's called mistletoe."

"Are you sure, it could be some kind of dreamshade."

"It's not dreamshade. It's a holiday tradition. Look, you don't have to do this with me, but I can't remember the last time I had a true Christmas. Now that Storybrooke is calm, thought I'd make it last." Emma insisted.

"Whatever you want to do, I'm with you to til the end." Killian couldn't refuse. This was his true love he's talking to. If she wants to do something, even if he might not know what it is, he would never be against her.

"So I was also thinking, we could get a tree, and decorated the house with tensile?" Emma planned out.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm not going to question it, because I don't feel like having something explained to me." Emma giggled at his comment.

The Next Day•

Emma had been home alone all day. As Killian offered to take a sailing day with Henry. Emma has been decorating the house in silver tensile. Baking cookies, and adding a few more mistletoe spots. The more the better.

Just then, the door creaked open which Emma knew it was Henry and Killian. Emma stood up from the couch, over to her boys.

"Luv, what is all of this?" Killian asked in awe.

"Do you like it? You don't think I went a bit over-boat, do you?"

Henry's teenage eyes then spotted fresh Christmas cookies, which were truly just from the back of the Pillsbury dough can. He walked over to the plate and took a cookie off.

"No of course not, I've just never seen this much decoration in one house." Killian chuckled.

"Mom, this is amazing. But my other mom wants me home for dinner by five." Henry interrupted their moment.

"Alright kid, I'll see you tomorrow." Emma nudged his shoulder. Before he walked to the door and began to walk home to Regina.

Emma walked over to the freshly baked cookies and broke one in half. Turning around she realized Killian was closer to her.

"Open." Emma demanded playfully.

Killian slightly opened his mouth, as Emma placed the half of a cookie in his mouth. Killian chewed it with joy. It was probably the best thing he's tasted. Next to onion rings.

"How are they?" Emma questions.

"Marvelous." Killian replied honestly.
