Struggles [Kyungsoo x Reader]

2 | Flashback

"He doesn't remember?"

    1st grade. I was running around playing with my friends in the playground, till I tripped on a pebble and fell. I began bawling my eyes out like cause it was able to draw blood on my knee. Due to my loud crying, instead of my "friends" comforting me, they just began teasing me and calling me "crybaby". But then after a quick second of humiliation, I hear their footsteps running away at a distance. I stopped crying and looked up to see what had caused it.
    Turns out a guy scared them away. I couldn't really see him clearly since my tears blurred out my vision. But as my vision slowly became clear, I saw the boy. My eyes widened.
It was Do Kyungsoo.
    In my grade, he was called the "Scary Shadow". He was called this because he was known for having a dark gaze and almost never smiled nor laughed. And to put the cherry on top, he was so quiet that people actually treated him like a shadow, including the teachers and staff. Soon enough, he kept that title for the rest of 1st grade. 
    I quickly stood up from my knees and wiped away my tears, while trying to pathetically apologize to him over and over again. "I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I'm so sorry for disturbing you! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I'm so sorry! I'll go away if you want me to..."
I lift my head up and looked at him. My jaw dropped open. He was really smiling and laughing. For the first time, I was able to see him smile. "You're funny Y/N! My name is Do Kyungsoo."
    After that, we started hanging out. We would always joke around and play truth or dare or never have I ever. As we became closer as friends, I started to grow feelings for him in my heart.
Until one day, as we were walking around the park, he told me some heartbreaking news.

"I'm Moving away..."

    My heart dropped. We have been best friends for 2 years...and he is already leaving me?
" Why are you moving? Where are you moving?" Hot tears started to form in my eyes and then finally roll down my face. "Y/N, my dad got a job opportunity at California, so we're moving there." I felt my vision getting blurry and my mind fogging up. Finally, I took a deep breath and wiped away my tears. "Can I at least see you leave and say goodbye?" He nodded. "Of course, we're leaving next Thursday."
    So, when the day came, I went to the airport to wish him goodbye. As I saw Kyungsoo about to leave, I felt hot tears start to roll down my cheek once more. Once Kyungsoo turned around and noticed me crying, he quickly walked up to me and wiped away my tears from my eyes.
"Don't worry, I'll come back Y/N, okay?"
I gave him a weak smile.
                            "OK..."

Then, he left.
Never seen him since,

                        "Till Now..."
