Chapter 26 : Now You See Me

"She wore blue velvet..."

Syrena starred at her as she stared back. Juriko made her way towards her.

"Bluer than velvet was the night...

Softer than satin was the light...

From the stars...."

Juriko saw the look in syrena's eyes that told her that she was remembering. She finally made it to Syrena and pushed the gun down and took it out of her hands, tossing it to the side.

"She wore blue velvet..

Bluer than velvet were her eyes...

Warmer than May her tender sighs..

Love was ours..."

Juriko pulled Syrena close and rested her head in her chest as she started to sway. Syrena closed her eyes and parted her lips and started to sing.

"Ours a love I held tightly

Feeling the rapture grow..

Like a flame burning brightly

But when she left gone was the glow of

Blue velvet...

But in my heart there'll always be

Precious and warm memories through the years..."

The base went silent, everyone who was fighting stopped at the sound of the singing siren. Hell Boy looked around, then at his sister. He never heard her sing before. The agents stared up at in awe, so did the trolls.

The creatures with the mask took them off and showed beautiful women. They made their way towards Syrena and Juriko. Myers was shocked. How can she just make everyone stop fighting?

"And I still can see blue velvet through my tears.."

Syrena finished the song and opened her eyes and looked up at her mom. Juriko was smiling down at her. Syrena pulled away and looked around. Why did everyone stop? Why was everyone staring at her? Her mother rubbed her arm before standing in front of the other sirens.

"What's going on?" Syrena asked.

"The males...are in a trance." Juriko said.

"But Abe, And my brother-"

Her mothers eyes went cold at her calling that demon her brother. He was not her family. Juriko's eyes turned warm again as she walk back to her daughter.

"Their different. But the others are in a trance." Juriko said.

"Did I do this?" Syrena asked.

"Yes."

Syrena looked behind her and saw Nuada making his way towards her. He nods his head towards her mother and then turns his attention back to her.

"You have complete control over them, to do what ever you wish." Nuada said.

Juriko walked up behind Syrena and put her hands on her shoulders.

"Kill them." Juriko whispered in her ear.

"What?!" Syrena whispered back.

She turned around as her mothers hands left her shoulders.

"They are humans. Their ancestor's destroyed our race. We are back because of you...you are our savior."

"STOP!" Syrena yelled.

Juriko jumped back surprised. Syrena ran her hands through her hair. 'You are not special'.

"Oh, but sweetly you are." Juriko said.

"No I'm not!" Syrena said.

"HEY!"

The three of them turned around as Hell Boy made his way towards them, Liz to the side of him and, Abe and Nuala to his other side dragging a dazed Myers with them.

"Leave my sister alone! And as for you, Nuada! Stay the hell away from her." her brother said.

"I don't have to listen to you, demon. Your sister on the other hand, I will." Nuada said.

"Come on Sis, let's go." her brother said.

Syrena went to take a step forward when her mother pulled her back.

"She's not going anywhere." Juriko said.

"Listen Lady. I'm not in a really good mood, so let my sister go and I won't have to kick your pretty little ass."

"Are you threatening me?! HOW DARE YOU!" Juriko said.

Juriko screeched her hand out and Syrenas bow appeared in her hand. She took an arrow and loaded it fast aiming it at her brother.

"Mama no!" Syrena said.

The arrow went flying through the air and hit her brothers shoulder. Hell Boy hissed in pain and Juriko smirked. Liz's face was red and fire caught onto her hand. Liz through a ball of fire towards Juriko.

Syrena pushed her mother out of the way and soon felt pain on the left side of her face. She fell to the ground holding her face. The pain was gone and she wasn't hurting which was weird.

"Syrena!" Hell boy said.

He ripped the arrow out of his shoulder and threw on the ground. He went to take a step forward but the other Sirens blocked him, their spears pointed at him. Syrena felt a hand in her shoulder.

"Syrena are you alright?" Nuada asked.

"The pains gone, but the left side of my face tingles." Syrena said.

"Your healing." Nuada said.

Syrena felt around her face. Were she got burned it felt smooth and warm. It also felt like metal.

"I want to see my face....get me something!" Syrena said.

In ten seconds a ripped off car rear view mirror was placed in front of her. Syrena removed her right hand off her face and grabbed it. She raised it slowly in front of her face. The right side was normal. Syrena removed her left hand and gasped. Her left side showed gold with black liquid going down it.

Her eye ball was gone and left with a deep black hole, but she could still see. Syrena turned around and faced the others. Nuada and her mother looked at her like she was fine, but her brother and the others looked as though they were looking at a ghost. Syrena couldn't deny it now. She wasn't just a regular Siren.

"Syrena?" Abe asked.

"Abe..this is who I am...what I am." Syrena said.

She looked towards her brother who was mostly starring at the left side of her face.

"Now you see me, brother." Syrena said.

Her necklace stared glowing and the tingles on her face got faster. Gold ran up the side of her face like water and when the hole side was filled her skin appeared back on her face and so did her eye.

"Now all of you see me for what I really am!" Syrena said.

Nuada smirked as Juriko smiled. Her mother walked towards her and put her hands on her face, her right thumb lightly brushing the left side of her face.

Everything was starting to go into place.
