It's been a weak since I've seen Cat,I don't think I can take it anymore.She won't talk to me,I need to do something. Joey thought.
Joey went to his bedroom and opened his drawer,and pulled out a box.
Joey opened the box and pulled out a ring.
I don't think I can go any longer,without proposing to Cat. Joey thought.
Joey put the ring away,then went back into the living room.
"JOEY!!! COME HERE QUICK!!" Sawyer yelled.
Joey ran over to Sawyer,Sawyer motioned to the TV.
TV: 24 year old Catherine Valdes in a car accident.Drunk driver crashed into her leaving her unconscious.She has been rushed to the hospital,in intensive care at this moment.
Joey was speechless,like he was paralyzed.
Joey ran to his room,grabbed his keys and jacket.
He also grabbed the ring.
Joey got in his car and rushed to the hospital.
Joey rushed inside to the front desk.
"May I help you?" The lady asked.
"What room is Catherine Valdes in!??!" Joey asked.
"Who might you be?" The lady asked.
"I'm her boyfriend!!" Joey said,panting.
"Room 502." The lady said.
Joey thanked the lady and ran to Cat's room.
He paused at her window,and saw her in the hospital bed.
Eyes closed.
Motionless.
He stepped inside her room,and stood by her side.
"Cat..." Joey said,his eyes starting to water.
"Cat...please...talk to me.." Joey whispered.
Joey started to cry,he sat down in a chair next to Cat.
"Cat,please forgive me..I didn't kiss her,she kissed me." Joey cried.
"Cat,wake up.Wake up,please." Joey whispered.
He held her hand.
The doctor walked in.
"Who are you?" The doctor asked.
"I'm Joey Graceffa,Catherine's boyfriend." Joey said,wiping his tears.
"Oh,I'm very sorry this has happened to your girlfriend." The doctor said.
"Will she be okay?" Joey asked.
"Yes,but...there's no easy way to say this.But Cat has cardiomyopathy." The doctor said.
"What's that?" Joey asked.
"Cardiomyopathy is a weakening of the heart muscle or another problem with the heart muscle. It often occurs when the heart cannot pump as well as it should, or with other heart function problems. Most patients with cardiomyopathy have heart failure." The doctor said.
"So,are you saying she's going to die?" Joey asked.
"We're not sure,there's a 50/50 chance,but if she should die,then she would have 1 year to live." The doctor said.
"Thanks doctor." Joey said.
The doctor left the room and Joey looked over at Cat, and started to cry.
