Sangmi's POV:

"Is he picking you up?"

"Yeah."

"Are you nervous?"

"Yeah."

"Is he in his way?"

"Hopefully not." I looked at my parents who seemed more excited than me, about me and Renjun going on our first official date and I looked at the clock on the wall, before sitting down on the couch.

"What if I do something completely messed up?" I asked them and my mom laughed, before ruffling my hair.
"Don't worry, you won't and even if you did, you're destined to be together so." She shrugged and I glared at her for her 'helpful' words.

"Sangmi, the door!" My dad shouted and I felt myself panic slightly, before looking at the clock again.

I jumped up from the seat and got my jacket, even though it was completely unnecessary when the weather was as great as it was.
"He's already here! I thought I had more time!" I exclaimed, making my parents chuckle and I took a deep breath, before opening the door to see Renjun.

"H-hey." I gave him a small smile and he gave one back, showing his teeth. "Have fun!" I heard my mom shout and I closed the door behind me.

"Are you okay, you seem.. Nervous." He let out a small laugh as I nodded my head quickly and he nodded, before we were on our way towards the beach.

"You remember when we went to the park two days after we first met, when I said I wanted to sing." I nodded at his words and his hand intertwined with mine, making my face heat up.

"Well, there's kind of more to the story because-"

"Are you famous?" I exclaimed, making him jump slightly, before shaking his head.

"Eh, not yet, bu-"

"So you're soon to be famous?" I felt a bit bad about interrupting him so much, but I couldn't help but get a bit excited and when I did apologize for interrupting, he just laughed.

"If it goes well, then yeah."

"I'm so excited for you! Will you sing for me now?" I asked excitedly, making him shrug his shoulders.

"Might do a bit later, but not now." This made me pout slightly and he chuckled, before silence took over us.

It stayed silent until we reached the beach and as soon as we did, both of us just ran.

*

"I swear if you push me into the water, I'll.." Pausing, I thought about what would be a good warning and he laughed, before taking a step closer.

"You'll what? Un-soulmate me?" He raised his eyebrows with a small smirk on his face.

"Is that even a word?" I asked mostly to myself and soon I was thrown over his shoulder.

"No! Renjun! I didn't bring towels or anything!" I squealed as he took a few steps into the water. It was a pretty hot day, so we were both in shorts, but I feared for my life, that he would throw me.

"I did." He laughed, before dropping me into the water, making me squeak at the cold feeling.

"Why's it so cold?" I squealed, before glaring slightly at the laughing boy and an idea popped into my head.

I splashed some water into his face, which I knew probably wasn't the best idea and I was right.
He splashed some on me, or some was probably an understatement, since it was like a wave and I had no idea, how he managed to splash that much water.

Both of us were soaked, when we started walking back to our things, which were lying on the sand a few feet away from the water and I for some reason, couldn't stop laughing.

"I still don't understand, why you found it so funny, I just slipped!" He exclaimed, before grabbing a towel and handing it to me. "It- You just disappeared!" I stated, which made him laugh as he wrapped a towel around himself as well.

"You really did bring towels and even two! You planned this, didn't you?" He shrugged at my question with a grin.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."

"Why are you so weird?" I questioned while shaking my head and he shrugged his shoulders, before giving me a.. Strawberry?
"Wha- where did that come from?" A laugh escaped me as he pointed at the bag he had brought with him.
"You have everything in that small bag, seriously." He nodded his head, before eating some berries as well.
"I came prepared." He wriggled his eyebrows, making me push him slightly and he laughed once again.

"Now, can you sing me a song?" I rolled onto my stomach and looked up at him, making him sigh, before nodding his head. I squealed a bit, before I sat up straight and he looked around to see if anybody was near.

He cleared his throat, before he started to sing in a language, which wasn't Korean and I figured out that it must've been Chinese, but that wasn't the point. His voice was soft and nice, he was a really good singer.
He sang for a few more seconds, before stopping and I started clapping.

"You're great! You have such an amazing voice! But just to be sure, the language you were singing in was Chinese, right?" He smiled, until he heard my question and he laughed at that.

He then said something, I didn't quite understand, because it wasn't Korean and he looked at me with a grin.

"Pardon me?" I couldn't help but laugh, a bit embarrassed and he chuckled, before nodding his head.

"It was Chinese, I just said 'yes' in Chinese." He explained to me, which made me nod my head.
"Say something else in Chinese! It sounds so beautiful!" A bright smile formed on his face and he nodded his head excitingly.

He said something again, but still I didn't understand it and this time it wasn't a word, but more like a sentence.
I tilted my head to the side confused and he translated it to Korean.

"I just said, that you looked pretty."
