Today's interview comes from Kryzme, the author of Politically Incorrect, Open Relationship and Magical. She has a flare for fantasy but is well versed in romance and relationships too. Her works are skillfully written and are definately something to be recommended.

1. What is the first story you have ever written?

The first story I ever seriously wrote was called Jazz. It was a Harry Potter fanfiction that I posted on quizilla when I was about 14. It took two years to completely post the entire story, posting every other week or so. Though when I read it, I see so many errors and smile at my juvenile style, I am still very proud of it and go back to it whenever I need a laugh. There are a lot of inside jokes in there and it brings back a lot of memories.

2. How did you come up with the plot line for Politically Incorrect?

It was a mixture of a few things really. I was inspired mostly by roisin's The Girl Behind the Throne. When I spoke of my idea to her she absolutely loved it and told me to start posting, so I went ahead. I also have a friend majoring in political science who I took a lot of background information from when I started everything.

3. Do you plan to make writing your full time occupation or is it more of a hobby?

It's definitely more of a hobby, but it's something I don't think  I could ever give up. I'm in college at the moment majoring in Biomedical science with a minor in English so I do get to do what I love for school occasionally!

4. How do you fix your writer's block?

I write numerous stories at once so that if I feel I'm stuck on one, I can go onto another. I also find that a trip to Taco Bell is a great cure for writers' block!

5. What styles and genres of writing do you prefer?

I'm love fantasy and science fiction, but I enjoy them more when an element of romance is thrown in. My favorite thing to see in stories is dragons. I'm a little obsessed...

6. What is your favourite Wattpad novel?

That's a tough one. It's a mixture between The Girl Behind the Throne and A Surreptitious Relationship. They were very addicting. Once I started, I just kept wanting more!

7. What is your favourite published novel?

I love this one trilogy titled The Tale of Lanen Kaelar by Elizabeth Kerner. The first book is called Song in the Silence and it's all about dragons in this fantasy world. I would suggest it to everyone that enjoys adventure, fantasy, and romance.

8. What do you hope Wattpad will be like for you this time next year?

Hopefully a lot more people have taken a look at my works and maybe I'm more recognized in the Watty Awards. I've only been on the site for about a year now, so I'm hoping my name is getting out more.

9. Do you base any of your characters on real people?

I definitely take a lot of my own personality and pour it into my main characters. It's difficult not to! A lot of my side characters are based on close friends of mine. For example, my best friend and roommate Heather (PunkRockPenguin on wattpad) is in a lot of my stories!

10. Where do you get your inspiration?

My own relationships, past and present, are very influential in my writing. Also, I feel that a lot of my dreams (which can be pretty creative) inspire my writing a lot. I can't tell you how many times I've started a work just based on a dream I've had!

11. What does writing mean to you?

Writing is extremely important to me. It's my escape from the world and I feel it's what keeps me sane in these crazy college years. Writing has always been a big part of my life and I can't ever see myself giving it up. I feel that writing is really an outlet, and it doesn't hurt when I get to share it with the world.

12. How did you discover Wattpad?

It's a funny story actually. I was reading A Proscriptive Relationship on quizilla and the site went down for hours. I was in a panic because I had been left on a cliffhanger and was already addicted to the story. I searched google for the story and author and a link for wattpad showed up! I excitedly clicked the link, started reading, and learned that I liked this site a lot more. I signed up immediately and have been hooked ever since!

13. If you could live as a character in one of your stories, who would it be?

I would say Janice in Doors. Even though her backstory seems the saddest, I really like her character. Spending time around Eric would be very interesting as well, haha! Besides, who wouldn't want the ability to open portals? It doesn't hurt that there are dragons there too!

14. What is the reason or inspiration behind your user name?

Kryzme is actually a nickname that a friend of mine, Robin, came up with. It's just taken from my real name, Krystin. I started calling her Robina and she started calling me Kryzme. It stuck, lol.
