"Ok. Everyone calm down."
I'd broken up the fight - with a lot of trouble, of course - but they'd finally stopped. Justin sat at the front of the table, Ashton stood behind him while Alex sat in the window sill.
There was silence. Everyone in the castle - except us, of course - was sleeping. The lights and heaters had been switched off, leaving us in the freezing dark.
"Alright. You've interrupted our discussion - you've eavesdropped on our conversation and then barged into the room uninvited. So, what do you want? What's the story?" Alex swung his legs over onto the floor, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Alex, please-"
"No Ashton. You've protected this bitch for too long. I'm sick of it. If you like her so much - turn her. Marry her if you really want to - no one cares. You can't protect her from harm when she's like this - a slave."
