You see Gene and Zane fighting each other.
You then see Gene stab Zane in the stomach, grab the heart of darkness, sling Zane over his shoulder, and run off.
"Irene, Zane...." Gene says loud enough for you to hear. "Why do you make me do these things?"
Zane doesn't reply.
