Don't go along with a plan that has flaws and is dangerous. For whatever reason, a person on your watch is sick, you go and get supplies. But if your plan has flaws and you don't even have an ideal knowledge that there will be supplies there. Don't go. It's not worth the risk. You'll end up either killing yourself and not getting back with the supplies, the person dying: or the member dying and you'll live on to see another day.
Sounds selfish, I know. But what has to be done, has to be done.
