 Elena's POV

Biology class went by pretty fast. I wasn’t falling behind because I got Liam to tutor me when I wasn’t in school. The rest of the day went by fast too. Well, almost every single day goes by fast because I have all my classes with Liam except for literature and art.

Time passes by so fast when I’m around Liam. We’re like meant to be best friends. Ever since kindergarten, we’ve been in the same classes. In high school, he’s in most of my classes. I guess fate couldn’t help see us be apart or something.

As Liam and I walked into the lunchroom, people gave me hard glares. I knew why. They had thought that I, Elena Scott had caused Jamie’s death. But hey, it was the drunk driver. They can think whatever they want and I won’t let them bother me. Liam cheered me up in class and I know that it wasn’t my fault. I would do what Jamie would want me to do in a situation like this and that was to ignore these people. Ignore the glares and enjoy the day. I went to get my food and talked with Liam. Talking to Liam instantly made this day better.  A lot better.

Me, Liam, and Jamie met in kindergarten. At first, I hated Liam. Jamie and I were building a house with blocks and that’s where Liam comes in. He kicked the blocks, destroying my house. I was upset and started to cry.

Liam looked sad and said sorry to me but I didn’t want to listen to him and told him to go away. The next day, he gave me his only apple juice and apologized again. He told me that he was mad and he didn’t mean to ruin our “house.” I took his juice and forgave him and that’s where our friendship started. Yes, the juice started our friendship. We were best friends ever since.

We also found out that our parents knew each other since high school so they were thrilled to see that Liam and I were friends.

Liam and I were just talking and playing around and as soon as I knew it, I was saying bye to Liam and I headed to literature class.

I got in just in time before the bell rang. I entered literature class to find that Heather was in my seat. I went to ask Mrs. Magulby where I should sit and she pointed to the empty seat in the back of the room. I sat down in my new seat and I wasn’t very happy. To tell you the truth, I liked my seat in front of the classroom. I know that it’s weird but I pay more attention when I sit in the front.

I hurriedly went to retrieve my notebook from my bag to copy the notes on the board.  All of a sudden, the noisy room died down, making me look up. Everyone kept their eyes on this guy at the door. I looked at him. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and dark wash jeans. You can see that he had muscles. He must be strong. He also had blonde hair and it was kind of messy in a good way and he looked-

STOP!

What?!

Stop checking him out!

I’m not!

Stop lying.

Why was I even talking to myself?

Who was I kidding? This guy was probably another player, a jock, a person who would make fun of the nerds or something. I hated people like that. I don’t even get why people made fun of other people. It was just plain mean. Like don’t they have a life or something?

I looked back up to see him walking towards me and sitting in the empty seat that was next to me.

Ohh boy…

Drew's POV

I ran through the hallways around the corner to my literature class.
