He secretly loved to read.

He did it when no one was around, in the comfort of his bedroom, procrastinating homework and choosing to have his headphones on and read.

Some of his favorites were classics, and his mother called him Jess Mariano, after the well-read bad boy from the tv show Gilmore Girls.

When he ran out of books, it was suggested that he go to the city library, where they'd have a better selection than his own schools library.

But when he got there and asked for help and she appeared, it gave him a thousand more reasons to actually step foot in the library.

Michelle Warner, the brainiac with bright eyes and a beautiful smile.

He had no idea what he wanted when he got there, but he'd seen her reading a book around school more times than he could count so he just decided to ask her.

Her response was The Great Gatsby. He'd actually never read the book but had always wanted to, even though he would have really accepted the recommendation of any book she said.

The smile that came onto her face when he nodded reminded him why he was so captivated by her.

Caden would definitely be coming to the library more often.
