"Dad?"
"Yes?"
"Are we there yet?"
"Neptune..." Percy shoots Neptune a warning look as Aedre talks to her mom, Annabeth.
"Mom?"
"Yes Aedre?"
"You had said that you had met Dad at a place that was near to the Long Island Sound. Will we have to take a boat to get there? Is it on an island?"
"No Aedre, we will not. The place where I met your father is just on the coast, not an island. Here are the coordinates of where we met, if you would like to calculate how long it will take us to get there." Annabeth hands Aedre a small slip of paper, and roughly five minutes later, Aedre speaks again.
"Okay. According to my calculations, using the coordinates Mom gave me,and at the rate we are traveling now, we will be there in 17 minutes and roughly 23 seconds ."
"Well done Aedre," Percy says, glancing at Annabeth, "You sound just like your mother." As Aedre beams with pride in herself, Annabeth scowls, then smiles and says to Percy, "Seaweed brain..."
Percy moves his arm in one swift motion and flicks her ear, as if they were kids."Wise girl..." he answers.
"Hey," the twins note in unison, and Neptune continues alone, "Why does Mom call you 'seaweed brain' Dad?"
Percy answers with a far-off and longing look in his eyes, "Well since my father's name is Poseidon, and Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, she calls me 'seaweed brain' as seaweed comes from the sea; hence the name seaweed"
Neptune barely followed a word Percy said. He heard only a few words, so he answers with an, "Oookkkaaayyy..."
The rest of the car ride goes by in silence, with the exception of the radio blasting Carrie Underwood's songs, "Little Toy Guns", "Smoke Break", and "Blown Away" playing in the background. As they arrive at their destination, the twins are nonplussed by what they see; and what they see is a hill and a pine tree on the side of the road.
Shaking off her bewilderment, Aedre finally speaks,"Ummm Mom? Dad?"
Answering together they say, "Yes?"
"The only thing I see is a pine tree on top of a hill, next to the road."
"Honey, follow your brother- he has the right idea," Annabeth said, smiling.
Aedre looked out the window of the car and saw her brother leaning on the pine tree looking past the hill somewhere. Neptune is in awe. Looking out onto the water and the valley, the place looks somewhat...magical.

Aedre joined Neptune in his gazing,so Percy and Annabeth took the opportunity to start to lead the way to the house in the middle of the valley.Everyone is wondering different things, but all along the same lines. Just as they were nearing the house in the valley, Percy started thinking about why no one was at camp, especially since all of the minor gods were honored with cabins at camp when Percy was 16. Annabeth was thinking the almost the same thing, but with others things along with it:Why is camp abandoned? Where are all the campers? Is Kronos or Gaea rising again?
Aedre and Neptune were completely different. Neptune was thinking Oh cool! Mom and Dad met at a camp! Those cabins look cool. I wonder if we'll get to stay in one of them. Aedre was thinking more about What is this place? This is where Mom and Dad met? Okay then. Good to know. Wait... is that a person?
It was not a person, it was just a dryad but Aedre doesn't know that. As soon as Aedre saw it, it was gone. Looking around, the four members of the Jackson family are confused as to why -since no one was there- people's belongings were strewn about, just randomly laid about as if they had all been dropped. As they were reaching the house, Neptune finally voiced his previous thoughts by saying, "Are we going to camp here? Huh? Mom? Dad? Are we?" While he continues rambling on Aedre was irked. "How did you deduct that this is a camp so quickly Neptune?" She asks. Realizing that he beat his sister at something other than sports, and smug with his 'win' he just keeps rambling on. "Seriously! Are we going to camp here?"
Noticing Neptune's enthusiasm, Annabeth answered dreamily, "I met your father at this camp. But, Neptune, to answer your question you are not going to camp here unless we can find Mr.Brunner. He is the camp activities director, you know."
As they explore the grounds of the camp for a while, Percy and Annabeth chat away about their old camp days. Aedre thinks she hears something about a monster, but she guesses they were just talking about an old counselor in a figurative manner. Andre starts to talk to Neptune about something unusual she saw, but Neptune sees a dryad, doesn't recognize it as anything he knows of (although that's not really something unusual) and decides to go chase after it. He follows it for a while and Andre follows closely, but silently, behind. Neptune catches up to the 'girl' he saw and introduces himself, "Hi, uh, I'm Neptune. Where is everyone else? This is a camp, right?"

Author's Note(A/N)
This is my first ever attempt at fan fiction. I never really think of myself as a writer. I will appreciate and most likely answer all comments. Please tell me what you think! I will update if not later today, tomorrow. If you came across this and found it interesting and you want to know more comment! If you saw something I should change (plot-wise, wording, grammar, etc.) let me know! Thank you all so much for reading my first ever story. This will probably be pretty short and only a few chapters.
