The city never slept—especially not Manhattan at night.

Gerald Gillum drove through traffic with purpose, the glow of neon signs reflecting off the windshield. In his car sat Ashley, Kyle, and Amber, while Danny and Lana followed close behind in Danny's ride. Tonight wasn't just another night out. It was business.

They pulled up to Envy Nightlife Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in New York City. Gerald parked out front. The music thumped through the pavement as they stepped out of their cars, the air buzzing with bass and danger.

Gerald glanced at his crew.
"You all know what to do, right?"

"Yeah." Amber snapped impatiently. "Now can we go in?"

Gerald rolled his eyes but said nothing, leading them inside.

The club was packed—flashing lights, bodies pressed together, money and secrets flowing freely. Across the room, Gerald spotted Derek, one of his most trusted connections. With a subtle nod, Gerald motioned for the others to follow him toward the back.

Derek smiled when he saw them.
"Gerald. And friends." He paused, amused. "Sorry to call a meeting like this. Drinks?"

Gerald looked down at Ashley. "You want anything, baby girl?"

"Just water." She said softly.

"I'll take whiskey. Water for her," Gerald told the bartender.

"Same." Danny and Kyle added.

As the drinks arrived, Derek leaned in. "Someone withdrew a large amount of money from a downtown bank." He said quietly. "And the leader behind it pinned the job on you."

The words landed heavy.

"That means?" Gerald asked.

"It means someone's trying to frame you—especially you." Derek said. "I don't want you taking the fall for something you didn't do."

Ashley frowned. "Why would anyone do that? We're not bad people."

"Maybe not." Derek replied. "But someone's watching you. I don't know who yet. Just be careful."

Kyle crossed his arms. "Any way to find out who it is?"

"There has to be," Derek said, finishing his drink. "I trust you'll figure it out."

And just like that, he was gone.

Ashley looked up at Gerald. "What do we do, G?"

"We gear up." Gerald said without hesitation. "I'll call in favors. Whoever's framing us—we'll find them."

Back at the house, tension hung thick in the air.

Gerald paced his office. "Kyle. Danny. Call one of my old contacts. See if they can help."

They nodded and stepped out.

Ashley appeared at the doorway. "You okay?"

"Can you grab me a whiskey?" He asked, softer now.

"Of course." She kissed his lips and disappeared into the kitchen.

Gerald leaned back in his chair, thoughts spiraling. He'd done dirty work before—but never this. Someone was moving pieces against him, and he didn't know who.

Ashley returned, settling onto his lap and pressing the glass into his hand. "You're worried." She said.

He shook his head. "I'm fine."

She studied his face. "You don't hide things well from me."

"It's handled." He said gently. "Go hang out with Lana and Amber."

She hesitated, then nodded and walked away.

Moments later, Kyle shouted from down the hall. "Gerald! One of your old friends is coming over!"

Gerald headed into the shared office where weapons were laid out across the desk.

"They want you on the phone." Kyle whispered.

Gerald picked it up. "Yeah?"

"Word is you need help." Blizzy said on the other end.

"Come through." Gerald replied. "We'll talk in person."

Fifteen minutes later, there was a knock.

Blizzy and a few familiar faces stepped inside. "Long time." He said with a grin.

They gathered in the living room. Gerald explained everything—Derek, the stolen money, the setup.

"We've got your back." Blizzy said. "Give us Derek's number. We'll trace this mess back to whoever's pulling strings."

Gerald handed it over. "I appreciate it."

Once they left, the house fell quiet.

Gerald sat near the window, staring out at the city that never stopped hunting him. Arms wrapped around his neck.

Ashley.

"You feeling better?" Ahe asked.

"A little." He said, smiling. "Sit with me."

She climbed onto his lap, resting her head against his chest. "We'll figure it out," Ashley said. "I know you will."

Gerald took a slow sip of whiskey, eyes narrowing as the city lights flickered outside.

Someone had tunnel vision.

And soon, they'd realize they were staring straight at him.
