My ice cream drips onto my hot freshly tanned skin, I lick it off awkwardly getting a laugh from Savannah.
"Whats your problem mate?" I say shaking my head sarcastically.
"You look orange and you have ice cream everywhere!" Savannah laughs taking a lick of her own.
My hand reaches my nose to find some sticky sugary cream... I laugh and wipe it of putting it in my mouth.
"EW Y/N EW! YOUR ALMOST GROSSER THAN JAIME'S FEET!" she laughs.
I look at the empty pool in front of us and then back at Savannah.
"Mate, you want to swim?" I ask
"First, stop calling me mate its weird. Second, I still haven't finished my ice cream!" She responds, taking an annoyed lick from her ice cream.
I roll my eyes and put the rest of my cone in my mouth. I kick off my sandals and run into the pool making sure to make a big splash and sure enough when I come back up Savannah is splashed and even more annoyed.
"OH YOU ARE GETTING IT FEMALE JAIME!"
Savannah and I have been best friends for 7 years since I first moved here in middle school....
I walk down the hall to my locker.... My tote bag with badges of skulls and patterns drooped on my shoulder. I look down at the shirt I am wearing, my favorite Pierce the Veil shirt I got this summer with my dad.... I sigh and open up the flap of my bag and take out my schedule, I look at the period and frown 'I don't like Science....'-

I bump into something and wince in pain. My bag falls off.
"Watch it!" a female voice says. I look up and my eyes dart to her shirt.
I gasp.
She looks at me and her eyes widen in shock.
We both gasp.
"Is that? Pierce the veil?" The girl gasps
"We have the same shirt.... Obviously!" I laugh
"Did you know they are writing their new album 'Selfish Machines'?"
"Yes I am so excited!" I squeak.
I kneel down to pick up my bag and rearrange everything that fell out, She kneels down next to me and picks up my schedule scanning it.
"We have almost the same schedule! except I don't have <LANGUAGE>and Math with you." She says smiling.
I stand up and fling my bag around my shoulder and gently take my schedule from her hands .
"Cool! Let's start heading to class?"
She nods and walks next to me, "You're new here right?" she asks me
"Yeah just moved here from New York" I smile
She gasps "New York is so interesting, and far... Any special reason you moved here to San Diego from exciting New York City?"
"We got bored" I say laughing
"BORED? IN NEW YORK?"
I laugh.
"Oh my god I don't even know your name!" The girl says.
"I'm Y/N"
"That's a nice name" She smiles "I'm Savannah"
Savannah cannonballs into the pool straight onto my head making me go underwater.
I swim up and splash Savannah aggressively "Mate, That was not cool! " I say grabbing my nose that now feels weird because water got in it.
"Payback!" Savannah sticks her tongue out smiling.
"At least you finished your"- I sneeze from the water "Ice cream"
We laugh.
