The moment Elsa slid into her chair she was served an enormous platter of food. Eggs, ham, piles of fried potatoes, and bacon.  The basket of rolls Massimo set before her would keep them eating for a week.  She smiled at the elegant glass of orange juice placed ever so slightly, on the wooden table.  The rich aroma of the dish wafted down and beckoned her. She could not resist the delightful sensations that whipped up inside her memory at the mere thought of delving het teeth deep and fast into the pulpy texture of everything she was about to feast on.

Massimo wasn't a typical chef in that he was Muscular, surprisingly so. Yet in other ways he was perfectly typical. His opinion was the right one, always, no-one else could hold a valid point of view if it wasn't consistent with his own. He prowled the kitchen like a caricature of himself, the eyes popping more everyday and his mouth becoming thinner, tighter. He only ever smiled when he tasted his own food.  Elsa was not one to fancy cooking. She had always depended on Massimo to make her a scrumptious meal.  In this case, overwhelmed by the huge buffet set a head of her she smiled widely, and giggled, preparing herself for what she was about to ingest.

"You....Have certainly outdone yourself Mister...." Elsa hummed scooping up pieces of fluffy egg, quickly indulging it.  Chuckling lightly, Massimo leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on the crown of Elsa's head, making a blush quickly appear across her face.

"Dig in..." He said soothingly,  slowly taking a seat infront of her. Elsa watched nonchalantly his every move. Taking in every little detail, of his face is hands and the way he was eating.

He licked his fleshy lips and grabbed a handful of oily bacon. They were fried to a crisp. He placed a pile of bacon on his plate, and soaked them with maple syrup, He pudgy hand clenched the syrup soaked bacon and stuffed them into his mouth, licking his sticky fingers, smeared with grease. He snatched a light, breakfast roll and piece of thick smoked ham. The ham was too thick to chew with his mouth closed, not that he was concerned. He dabbed his fleshy cheeks with a delicate napkin before speaking.

Elsa giggled and continued delicately placing pieces of egg and bacon into her mouth, Pleased with how the flavours exploded into her mouth.

"I missed this..." she whispered looking into Massimo's eyes.  He looked at her with sympathy and regret.
"I wish I never had to leave you..." He replied shakily. He suddenly became a man sitting in an attitude of profound distress beneath a projecting mass of rock. He hung his hands limply over his knees, his eyes were red before, and his face was wet with tears.

Quickly Elsa pushed her chair out and sauntered over to him, quickly embracing him in a tight hug.  In Elsa's arms he was safe and his worries disappeared like rain on summer earth. In that embrace he was cocooned better than any butterfly-to-be. He felt her soft skin and the gentle squeeze on his own. He bathed in her warmth and the smell of freshly laundered clothes. His tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down his face. Elsa could feel the muscles of his chin tremble like a small child, Her vision slowly started to become blurry as her eyes filled with tears.  She look toward the window, as if the light could soothe her.

There is static in his head once more, the side effect of this constant fear, constant stress he lives with. He can hear his own sounds, like a distressed child, raw from the inside. It takes something out of him, he didn't know what he had left to give. He had left his whole meaning for life, alone, scared...she had given up so much. Went through so much, and he regretted leaving her every day of his miserable life.  The only reason he was alive....Was because of her.

He sobbed into her chest unceasingly, hands clutching at her sides. She held him in silence, rocking him slowly as his tears soaked her chest. A tiny lapse let him pull away, blinking lashes heavy with tears, before he collapsed again, his howls of misery worsening. The pain must have come in waves, minutes of sobbing broken apart by short pauses for recovering breaths, before hurling him back into the outstretched arms of his regret. At this point Elsa didn't know what to do. All she could do was hold him close, and tight.  She couldn't help but cry for him, silently she let pearl-shaped tears roll down her cheeks.

"Massimo...." She sobbed. She slowly pushed his chin from her chest regaining eye contact with him.
"I want....you to know it okay....you are here with me....An-and Im happy" she cooed running her hands along his cheeks, wiping away any fallen tears. He refused to look away, even as his lips trembled and his shoulders heaved with emotion, unwilling to back down. She countinued wiping away tears streaming from his deep hazelnut eyes, loud, heaving sobs tearing from his throat, and still he did not look away. He coughed, chocking on his words. He sniffled into the air and slowly started to calm himself down.

The silence of the room made her blood as cold as the wintery air that crept through an open window. Bereft of any wind the leaves outside hung limp until they fell of their own accord, there was no whispering noise or rustling.

"Come with me..." Elsa whispered slowly standing them both up, She looked up at him, straight into his eyes and kissed him tenderly on his lips. She then grabbed his hands, leading herself and Massimo into their bedrom.

Just as the first bite of cold wind creeps under Elsa's night-shirt Massimo's hand moves around her middle, warm and soft. In seconds his body is moulded to her own, When they finally clasped each other in a warm, slow and luxurious hug, they felt all oppositions to their love had melted. Looking down at her lover and smiling, Elsa poked Massimo's nose, brushing a strand of dark brown hair away from his face. He sniffs dejectedly and buries his face in her chest. "Are you tired?" She asks, only to look down and see that he was half asleep, his eyes opening at her question. He barely nods, his eyes slipping closed.

She smiled again, running her hand through his hair. Letting out a deep breath, she slowly closed her eyes. As her consciousness ebbed, her mind went into free fall, swirling with the beautiful chaos of a new dream.
