"Love you," you called down the hallway to your best friend as he walked away. Nico turned around and gave you a small smile.

"Love you, too," he said.

"Gosh, why is this so hard," you said, sitting on Nico's kitchen counter as you did homework.

"It's only chemistry," he said, shrugging and eating his breakfast.

"So? You're the science wizz," you retort.

"It's easy," he replied again. "You're just being a butt about it," he said, taking another bite of his cereal.

"Gods, you're arrogant," you said, rolling your eyes.

"You love me anyways."

"Yes, I do love you."

"You know that one Nico kid," your friend Emily asked as you walked down the hall.
