"So, what do you think?" Repeated Shayann, eyeing me. I snapped out of my thoughts, suddenly paying attention. "Oh Um, yeah! Sure". I replied casually, not even hearing her question.

It was Friday afternoon, and me and my best friend, Shayann were catching our train home from Minatia High. We were laughing about teachers and things that had happened through the day, when Shayann stopped talking and frowned  over my shoulder.

"What's wrong?" I asked, wondering the reason for her sudden change in emotion. She whispered something inaudible to me. "What?" I said.
She again, whispered something I couldn't make out. I asked her to repeat herself again. "I said, there's a group of guys about two rows behind you staring at us, and they are not looking away." She said, loud enough this time.

Without thinking, I whipped around, and sure enough, there was around five boys, about our age or younger, staring at us. They smirked when I turned around. They must have realised Shayann had said something.

"Hayley!" Shayann hissed, clearly embarrased. I turned back around to her. "Dude, that looked so obvious. Why did you do that? They probably think we like them or something now". She said, only half serious.
"Don't worry, I said. They saw my face, and that should be enough to scare them off." Shayann laughed.

"Hollyfield station" called the driver over the speaker. Realising our stop was being called, me and Shayann stood up to hop off. But just as we did, the doors closed, and the man on the speaker was telling everyone to be seated, and the train began picking up speed.

"Aww what the fuck man!" Said Shayann. A bit to loudly.
From behind, I heard snickering. It was the weird boys from before.
I rolled my eyes. But then I remembered my little sister would be waiting for me at the Hollyfield station, like she always did. Being in grade six at Hollyfield primary, the train station was just down the road, from her school and she waited for me there, to arrive from the high school, and then we walk the ten minutes home.
I whipped out my phone to text her what had happened, and so she didn't wander off.

"Hey Lhiya, we missed the station so I'm gonna be like... ten extra minutes okay? Stay where you are.

"Haha that's funny, did anyone realise you missed the station?" She texted back.

"Yeah, well Shayann was rather vocal about it"

"Oh no lol"

"Yeah. Oh no alright.

Turns out Shayann was reading over my shoulder and she burst out laughing. "Rather vocal?" She said, still laughing her ass off. I didn't have time to reply, because the next station was being called, and we weren't about to miss this was to and look like a pair of twats. Again.

We hopped off the train and jumped on one heading back. When we arrived at Hollyfield, sure enough, my little sister was there, smirking at us.

A smile appeared across her face.

"Hey, Shayann". She said, totally ignoring me. "Hey mini Hayley". She joked. That was her nickname for Lhiya, because she had a striking resemblance to me, I had to admit.

She turned to me. "Hey Hayls"
Yuck, I thought. I despised of that name. And she knew it. I must of made a face, because she burst out laughing, and her dimples appeared.

After saying goodbye to Shayann, me and Lhiya headed home. She talked to me about her day and how Mrs Harillo, her maths teacher had roasted some kid.

Turning into our street some minutes later, I got a feeling something was wrong before our house was even in sight. I ignored it.

We reached the front gate, and walked to the front door. Lhiya, who was a few metres ahead of me, stopped cold. She stopped laughing and joking, and suddenly her voice turned serious. " Oh my god, H-Hayley- look". She said, with worry laced in her voice.

I followed her stare. My eyes grew wide and my hand flew over my mouth. "Oh my GOD!"
