Bzzz!

I groan as my phone rings right in the middle of the good part of the book.

Bzzz!

I stare at the book and at my phone.

Which one is more important right now?

I settle to look at the caller before making my grand decision.

Audrey's Main Hoe

I make a mental note to never let Scott near my phone, and bend the top edge of the page of the book as a bookmark before closing it.

Bzzz!-

"Hey Scott."

"Aye Girly! How's it going? You busy?"

I stare at my book nodding seconds later realizing he can't see me.

"Great yeah I was kind of busy."

"Reading doesn't count as busy Girly! Meaning you're free! I'll swing by with the others in a few. Bye Girly!"

The line goes dead and I'm left alone to ponder the conversation.

I make a mental note again before stretching and hearing the pleasant sound of my back cracking.

I swiftly swing my feet to the edge of the bed and get off.

I stare at myself through the mirror I had jean short shorts with a gray tank top and over a semi large flannel.

The weather hasn't changed much in the past week. It's been sunny with a light breeze.

My long brunette hair was now waist length reminding me I need a haircut soon. I tug on a wavy strand only for it to its natural form.

Bzzz!

I turn my gaze away from the mirror and grab my phone.

Audrey's Main Hoe

I roll my eyes and decline call before descending downstairs. Passing the kitchen through the hallway I grasp the doors knob and turn it.

"Hey Girly!" Scott chirped as I motioned them in.

Nadia was behind Scott and behind her towered Silas.

"Thanks Antonio." I grin at the standing guard.

He gives me a small smile with a curt nod.
