Around two in the morning Christopher finished the work he had to do and packed everything up for work the next day. He stretched and walked up the stairs to Arabella's room.

He slowly opened the door and smiled, on the floor next to Aries' bed was Rosemary sleeping with her head on the bed Aries had Rosemary's hand in hers and was sleeping peacefully.

Christopher walked up to Rosemary and picked her up in his arms and carried her to her room across the hall. As he laid her down he heard her whisper his name and silent as a breath.
"Christopher..."

"Shhh."

He laid her flat and she sunk into the bed with a peaceful smile. Christopher couldn't help but stare at her for a second. Even he had to admit she was incredibly beautiful. She had beauty that surpassed any other and sometimes it hurt when he would admit it but even his Arabelle didn't stand to her beauty. She was beautiful to the point where all his friends had tried to talk to her but she never went for any of them. Deep down he assumed it was because she was in love with him but he couldn't do that to Arabelle he had promised her on her grave to take care of Arabella and not worry about anything else and he was going to keep his word. He kissed her cheek and walked out and kissed Arabella on the forehead and walked into his bedroom. He looked around and couldn't help but feel sad everything in here reminded him of Arabelle.

He was a woken by Aries crying and he ran out of his room. He slammed into Rosemary who must have woken in the night and changed because she was wearing a nighty. She looked almost edible it was a pink nighty that only went half way down on her thigh and had ribbons on it. She was wearing a matching robe but even if it reached the floor in length it was see thru it did nothing to cover her.

"Sorry" she jumped up and into Aries room and he couldn't help but sit there and stare at her for a second before taking a deep breath and following her in.

"Sweetie what's wrong?"

"Rosemary my head hurts really bad and my tummy. I don't feel good."

Rosemary took her in her arms and held her. "okay sweet girl I will get you some medicine okay mamas."

Christopher watched as Rosemary went to get up and Aries pulled her down. "No don't leave me." She had tears running down her face.

Rosemary hugged her really tight and smiled. "okay sweetie but how about your daddy holds you while I go get some medicine?"

"No!" she buried her face into Rosemary's chest.

"Okay... okay." Rosemary rocked her back and forth slowly and looked up at me.

"How about I go and get the medicine so that you can stay here with Aries." He smiled at Rosemary and walked out. As soon as he walked out he realized he had no idea where the medicine for Aries was and he realized that his daughter wanted her nanny more than she wanted him and for whatever reason instead of making him angry that made him smile.

"Top drawer in the fridge it's in a frozen lunch kit!" she yelled out the door.

"I know." He smiled knowing she knew well enough that he had no idea.

"Well I would assume you also know that it's in the fridge up here in the game room not the one in the kitchen." She spoke and he could hear the smile on her face.

"of course I think I would be insulted if it was down in the kitchen." He laughed and made his way in the dark to the game room. The only light in the hallway was from the windows and it wasn't much just what the pool outside reflected.

He went and got the medicine and as he walked back into the room he saw both Rosemary and Arabella sleeping. He crept forward and stared at them for a second and he couldn't help remembering the day he talked to Rosemary after Arabelle died.

"Rosemary was it."

"Yes sir."

"Look I need someone full time who will not bother sucking up it's not about me it's about my daughter I know you have worked with kids since you were a lot younger that's why I feel you would be a good fit and you are a certified nurse so I know you can keep her safe which is what I want."

"Yes sir... well I need the job that's why I am here."

"So you know that this is all day every day with us. I am willing to give you days off here and there but you have to travel with us and all it will be live in."

"Yes I am aware."

"I need you to understand I don't want you or will I ever be with you I just want you to watch my kid."

"yes sir I never assumed otherwise."

"Sir did you bring a spoon or the syringe to give her the medicine with?"

He smiled at her and pulled it out of his front shirt pocket "Actually yes I did." He raised his eyebrows at Rosemary.

"okay." She smiled and pulled Aries straight "Baby girl I need you to drink some medicine okay." She messed with Aries nose until she sat up.

"okay mommy... Rosemary..." she pulled up and sat straight for her.

Rosemary took the syringe and put medicine in it. "Alright pretty girl here you go..." she put the syringe in her mouth and carefully pressed it so that she drank all of it. "okay good girl now you can go back to sleep."

Rosemary went to get up and Aries grabbed her hands and whispered "Please don't leave me..."

Rosemary looked at me and then back at Aries "okay I'll stay..." she stood up "you lay down on the bed and I will sit here and not move okay."

"Okay" Aries went to wipe her nose and before she could Rosemary did it and handed her the bear she always slept with so that she could get nice and comfortable. Rosemary laid out a blanket and sat of the thick feather carpet next to Aries bed. When she was set up she finally looked up at me and smiled.

"Rosemary you shouldn't have to sleep on the floor..."

"No sir its fine I honestly do not mind I love this little girl. I mean I have taken care of her since she was born and I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Thank you and if you need anything let me know please."

"Yes sir."

Later that morning Christopher could not sleep tossing and turning just thinking about Rosemary on the floor and him being all comfortable he felt bad. He tip-toed into his daughter's room and sat on the floor opposite her bed and couldn't help but stare at Rosemary. She was asleep with her head on the bed and Aries was holding onto her hands. There was no way she was comfortable but she looked so happy. It astonished him what a mother was willing to do for a child. Even though she was not Aries mom she was the closest thing Aries had to a mother here in the world.
