"I did great, right?" Yuuri was rushing towards Victor, a bright smile on his face as his coach grinned at him. So many thoughts were rushing through his head, and he could only focus on the happy looking silver-haired man in front of him. Victor was proud of him.
As Yuuri reached his coach, he felt Victor's arms wrap around him, one hand tangling itself in Yuuri's hair. The skater glanced nervously up at Victor, but the nervousness was quickly replaced by pleasant shock.
Soft lips pressed against his, and before he could fully process what had happened, Victor had pulled away, hugging Yuuri tightly before they hit the ice. Victor Nikiforov, world famous figure skater, just kissed me. In front of everyone.
Yuuri's expression must have betrayed his thoughts, as when Victor propped himself up with his hands, he began to explain.
"I wanted to surprise you as much as you've surprised me." Victor said softly, smiling. A blush had crept its way across his face, something Yuuri had never seen before, and he thought it was cute.
"Really?" Yuuri returned, a small grin spreading on his face. He hugged Victor tighter, fighting down the tears that had begun to form. After a few moments of listening to the crowd cheer and scream, the silver-haired coach helped his slightly shaken skater up off of the cold ice. Yuuri was still grinning, and didn't let go of Victor's hand even after he was off of the ice.
Yuuri ended up placing second. Considering he nearly died during his routine, he did pretty well. He even beat Chris! Victor's eyes were still shining with pride when Yuuri walked off of the ice, holding flowers and wearing his medal. The silver-haired man threw an arm around the shorter skater, pulling him closer in a protective way. Yuuri could just feel the smirk forming on his face as he passed Chris, and even more so when he passed Yakov.
Victor is mine now. Suck it, world.
