Days had passed since the premier and I had kept myself busy. I knew I had to keep my promise to start over with Chris but I couldn't help that nagging feeling that I didn't deserve him. So I have been nonchalantly avoiding him. As I run through my lines in my trailer I hear a knock on my door and sigh, "Yeah?" I reply and without so much as another word the door opens to reveal Sebastian with a bright smile on his lips as he holds up a bag of fast food.
"I bring food to offer our grouchy nemesis." He says in his best British accent and I chuckle.
"Oh really, and who pray tell is this grouchy nemesis?" I ask trying out my own British accent what has even me cringing. As if to answer his question my stomach lets out a loud growl making my face blush.
"I do believe she has answered her own question." Sebastian says as he sets the drink tray and massive food bags down on the kitchen table of my trailer.
"How much did you get?" I ask as I go to reach for the bag.
"Well considering how much you love McDonalds French fries, I bought a lot."
"Aw, what would I do without you?"
"I don't know, forget to eat completely and then turn into a real-life version of that snickers commercial."
"I am not that bad!" I exclaim and he scoffs at me.
"Right, keep telling yourself that." He says as he pulls out a Big Mac burger and sets it down in front of him. Rolling my eyes, I reach into the bag and pulling out a southwest premium wrap I smile brightly at him.
"Thank you, I was craving a wrap." I say as I tear open the wrapper and start eating.
"Who knows you better than I do?" He says as he leans back in the booth like setting and continues to eat his burger and check his phone.
"No one honestly, at least not anymore." I say as I think about Emily.
"Will you stop," Sebastian says pulling me from my self-hate. "We've talked about this and what happened to Emily wasn't your fault. So, stop blaming yourself for it."
"Easier said than done Stan," I say as I grab my fries and walking back to the bedroom slam the door behind me. I knew he was just trying to help but it wasn't really helping. Tossing some fries into my mouth I walk over to the bed and plopping down on top of it I reach onto the night stand for my cell phone. Turning it on I notice I have a text from Chris and sigh. If I didn't answer this one there'd be no telling what he'd do to get ahold of me. Taking a deep breath, I open the message and smirk.
Chris: 'Hey it's me, I've left you a few messages but you haven't replied. So, either you're busy with the movie, or your avoiding me. I'm hoping it's not the latter of the two. You know cause I'd like to take you out sometime.'
The message reminds me of when we first met and I smile.
Me: 'Of course it's you, your name shows up when you text me. lol. I have been busy but my schedule just opened. What did you have in mind?'
Without so much as a warning my cell rings and I roll my eyes as I answer it, "Hello,"
"Finally she answers, I thought I was gonna have to do something crazy to get you to reply."
"Oh really? Like what?"
"Maybe bribe some people to let me sneak on set."
"You wouldn't?!"
"This reminds me of old times," He says and I feel the happiness leave my body as an irksome foreboding replaces it. "You still there?"
"Yeah, sorry, was just going over my lines." I lie as I suddenly lose my appetite.
