Part 5 ~ The Fear

After the movie, which was awesome by the way, I pulled away from Sebastian and moved to a private corner so I could call Karen and tell her all about what happened. Pulling out my cell I quickly call her number and wait for her to answer.

"You've reached the miracle worker Karen, what's up?"

"Very cute Karen." I reply smirking to myself.

"Oh (Name)! How'd it go?" Karen asks all excitedly like she had had some private insight to what had happened.

"You watched the red carpet didn't you?" I ask narrowing my eyes.

"... Maybe." She replies and I chuckle to myself.

"So how much did you see?"

"I saw the two of you making for-longing looks at each other, then your little run away from him that resulted in him following you and that's about it."

"Good your mostly caught up." I smirk then it hits me, if she had seen it then there were other who had seen it as well. Gulping down a breath of air I push the bad feeling away and continue to tell her what happened in the room where the two of us were alone.

"Girl, you both still have it bad for each other."

"Yeah," I reply as I look across the large group of people and without so much of a search I see him standing next to Sebastian and the rest of his costars and my heart jumps in my chest, just like it had when I was younger.

"And you're looking at him right now aren't you?" She asks my eyes widen slightly.

"Can you see me?" I ask panicked.

"Nope, but you just admitted that you were."

"Ohmygod I hate you right now!"

"You love me, and this is so much fun."

"So about the after party?"

"Do you wanna go?" She asks and my brow furrows. Truth be told I did want to but I doubt that it would be a good idea.

"Honestly, I don't know."

"What are you so worried about? I'll be there with you. You just have to come by and get me. That's all I ask."

"Okay," I reply as a giggle leaves my lips.

"(NAME)!" I hear Sebastian call out after me and I turn to see him rushing over to me with a smile on his lips.

"Oh Karen, I gotta go, I'll text you what I decide."

"Okay I'll start getting ready then." She replies insinuating that I will choose to go to the party. Rolling my eyes, I hang up the phone and turn right as Sebastian arrives by my side.

"Karen?" He asks and I nod.

"Yeah, just letting her know that the movie was over. Major kudos by the way, I have never been more turned on by a fictional character in my entire life." I say remembering how he played the winter soldier.

"Okay, well now that I know what turns you on," He pauses chuckling at me. "Do you want to go to the after party? Mainly asking because a mutual friend of ours is interested." He wiggles his eyebrows and I giggle.

"I'm not sure I should go."

"What do you mean?" He asks suddenly becoming serious.

"I... I've done some horrible things to Chris and if I get back into that kind of relationship again," I pause my heart clenching. "I'm worried I'll only hurt him more. I don't want to do that to him."
