I woke the next morning to the smell of eggs cooking making me smile. "Omelets, glorious omelets." I say as I roll out of bed and walk into the bathroom. After a brief pee as well as brushing my teeth and hair I stroll out into the living room to see that Seb had neatly folded the blanket and placed it on the end of the couch. I hear the sounds of rock music playing throughout the kitchen and I smile. As I rounded the corner I see him bobbing his head to the beat of the music and chuckle.

"Are you having fun?" I ask making him jump slightly at the sound of my voice.

"Loads," He replies a smirk covering his lips. "Hungry?"

"Always," I reply as I clap my hands together in front of me while I bounce up and down in anticipation.

"Good," He says as he places the omelet on a plate and hands it to me. I smile as I start to dig in. "Okay so I went ahead and called Karen, she's on her way her now."

"What?" I ask as I instantly stop eating.

"I called Karen to come help you get ready for tonight." He replies slower making me glare at him. "Don't give me that look or I'll never cook for you again." He says mimicking my expression.

"Out of all the people you could have called why did you call her?" I ask as I set my fork down on my plate, my appetite suddenly gone.

"Because she's your friend (Name); and a dam good hairdresser. Why are you being so difficult?"

"I haven't talked to her since our reunion. You know when I last saw Jack and all that bullshit,"

"Yeah I was there remember." He says narrowing his eyes at my plate. "I know Karen doesn't hold what that bastard said against you."

"How do you know Seb?" I ask my eyes staring at his questioningly.

"Because she told me," He says running a hand through his hair. "Look, Karen and I have been texting on and off for a while now and the only reason we have is because you refuse to answer her calls. She wants to talk to you, she wants to apologize but you haven't given her a chance."

"So it's my fault?"

"Yes, if you want to get technical, it is. You're pushing the last true friends you have away and for what? What some douche bag said about Emily?"

"Seb stop." I say as I gulp down a breathe of air. I glance up to see his brow furrowed and I let out a heavy sigh. "I know I need to talk to her, I do, it's just," I pause as I try to find the right words. "I'm scared."

"Don't be scared," He says leaning forward propping himself up against the bar by his arms. "You got me, and if all else fails, I'll be here for you." Smiling I push away from the counter and walking around the bar wrap my arms around him.

"Thank you Seb, I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Let's hope you never have to find out." He says gripping tightly to me.

We stand there for a moment before a knock on the door causes him to pull away. "That'll be Karen."

"Okay," I say as he walks off toward the door. It had been a couple months since the reunion and I still hadn't completely recovered. I already blamed myself for Emily's death but to have everyone else back home blaming me as well made it seem all the more true. Karen, Tommy, and Kyle had all told me it hadn't been my fault but no matter how I looked at it that seemed like a lie. As I hear her voice in the hallway my heartbeat starts to race in my chest. When she rounds the corner my breath catches as I fear what's next to come.
