"Ah here, Caoilainn why are you even going over there?" Seán grumbled as I made the tea quietly in the most amazingly tiny kitchen ever.
"Seán, you know I need the experience and the hours are pure shite over here" I replied as I sat down beside him on our old, squishy brown sofa.
"Pass us the clicker there will ye"
"Get up off your arse Caoils" He replied, scrolling through his Twitter feed.
Seán is my boyfriend. I guess you could say 'partner', 'cause we've been together so long. We met at 'the Wezz' way back when we were both in third year. Five years on and we're both in our second year at Trinity College in Dublin. Both studying medicine. It's absolutely mad that we both got in, we never expected it. We live together in a tiny students apartment on Grattan St. It's not much and we barely scrape together the rent but I couldn't ask for more than being able to live with my favourite person in the world EVER.
I couldn't imagine being with anyone else at all so I wasn't at all worried about heading over to America on my J1 for a summer time job.
"Fine" I muttered.
He put down his phone and looked at me with an expression of annoyance. I intertwined our fingers and snuggled closer to him, hoping to soften his mood.
"But like.. there's no point, we'll find something here for you! You'll have me going mad over here without you." I sighed into his chest.
" You really don't have to worry about me, I'll be grand it's not like I'm 14 again. I have to do this it'll only be three months." I rested my cheek on his shoulder and chuckled at the celebs doing the bush tucker challenge on I'm a Celeb.
"Oh Caoils promise me you won't stay in America for longer than the summer" He looked at me with his gorgeous chocolate brown puppy dog eyes that I fell for all those years ago.
"You can trust me you eejit." He laughed and wrapped his strong arm around me. We stayed in the same position watching Netflix for ages. That's our kind of date now.
I felt his heart beating through my back and in that moment I thought I could never love anyone the way I love Seán. He's my soulmate and it was fate that we both had our first shift with each other that summer so many years ago.
This is my first story ❤️ If your enjoying it so far please give it some support 💗💗 Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated 😘
