Light

As he went on, so did she

Their separate ways were parted

Diverted away from what was true,

They were empty-hearted

While walking away from the Light

Something took them in

For where it isn't bright,

Darkness shall always win

Yet, there is no Darkness that Light cannot dispel

No crevice that cannot be lit

No crook or cranny that cannot be saved

From the Darkness, bit by bit

Where there is Light, Darkness cannot be

It cannot rule, cannot thrive

So, when those people walked away from the Light,

They struggled to stay alive

They fell on their knees in remorse

They tried to go back in regret

But the Darkness kept on holding them back

It wasn't done with them yet

It held onto them dearly, like life

And, though they tried to end It,

The Darkness continued Its strife

So they began to befriend It

Those years that came after were worse

They didn't think back to the Light

Not once did they realize that they

Could have gotten back if they tried

Then, the Light found them

And it was then that they remembered

How the Light treated them

Oh so much better

The Light battled the Darkness

And, as it always so happens,

The Light pushed back the Darkness

Until it was smaller then an atom

Now, boys and girls, the moral

Of this story shall be

Forget not your Light ever shining

Ever being your saving glory
