Bus Stop Part 2 (Josh Hutcherson)

Start from the beginning

We walk and drink coffee, sometimes we go for a coffee at the cafeteria, but that's been all. I've been wanting to ask him out, but I'm way to shy.

"I understand! I tried living on campus, but my roommates weren't so great so I decided to rent near campus. You can guess how it turned out... Too expensive! So I was staying with a friend for awhile until I found my apartment this day me and my friends went to watch a game at Fred's. We went out after the game, and when we were walking by the building, I asked Fred what that place was. He said we could walk in and see since they were renting some apartments... That's how I got my apartment. It's a little far, but the bus service is great!"

"Yeah! You can leave almost any time you want, but that's not the same thing for me," I said giggling as we were walking towards my bus stop, and I looked my bus arriving, "oh, no! We're not going to make it," I said looking at the time.

He stopped me and said, "no, we can make it! We're not that far," he grabbed my hand and pulled me.

"No! Look at the time!" I exclaimed and stopped him to show him my cellphone, "even if we run, we won't make it there on time."

"What are you doing then?" He asked.

"Well, I can only wait for the next one."

"I'll wait with you," he said, and I realized he was still holding my hand. I looked at our hands, tangled so tight that I didn't want to let go.

"You don't have to, your bus-"

"Will still be there when your next bus arrives."

"Not technically, it'll be another bus," I joked out of nervousness.

"Well, I'm not going into any technicalities... Let's grab a coffee and wait for your bus. We'll sit there and wait, but if you're too cold, we can wait inside the café."

"And how do you know I'm so cold?"

"Your hand is pretty cold," he smiled.

I blushed even when it was freezing cold out there, "I can handle the cold, besides... The coffee will keep my hands warm."

Josh smiled widely and hesitated to let go of my hand. Once he let go, we walked to the café in front of my bus stop. The café was quite crowded so we just ordered and crossed the street to sit and wait for my bus. We stood there quiet for a while until Josh looked at me smiling nervously.

"What?" I asked giggling.

"Would you like to go see a movie with me?" He asked speaking so fast that I took some time to understand what he was saying.

"Right now?" I asked smiling nervously too.

"No, maybe... I mean whenever you can or want. You can choose the movie, or we can go eat something, or-"

"I can, I want, and a movie sounds good," I said and he stared laughing.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm so nervous... So you'd like to?"

"Of course!"

"Are you free tomorrow?" He asked, and I nodded smiling, "great! How about six, or seven?"

"Six it's okay," I answered.

"I can't believe I've never asked for your number, I feel so dumb," he laughed, "I can pick you up if you give me your address and your phone number."

"Okay," I laughed too, "I can carry part of the dumbness too 'cause I didn't do it either."

"I have to admit I was a little nervous to ask, and I mean, I like hanging out with you on campus, but sometimes I wanted to tell you something so bad and I couldn't do it right away 'cause I didn't have your number... I'm sorry if I'm being too forward-"

"Hey, no! It's fine, It's happened to me just the same as you. I thought we were just being college friends or something."

"Never," he said and slowly linked our fingers together, "I've been meaning to ask you out for so long."

"I'm glad you did... So-uh my number, right?"

"Yeah, here!" He said and gave me his cellphone so I could type in my number, and I gave him mine so he could do the same, "so it's settled, tomorrow at six," he said smiling.

"Tomorrow at six!"
