"I, he who walks amongst the shadows, bestow this ancient seal to spread evil to the mortals. Do you accept?"
"Yes I accept my lord." The seal immediately burned into the flesh on the back of her neck, it smelled as though meat were cooking. She dropped to the ground from the shear pain. Minutes after the burning had stopped, she still felt the seal on her back almost pulsating. Her eyes went from a bright green to pitch black, her limbs began to augment and break only to fix themselves moments later. Her back ripped opened, letting wings as black as the sky above her out from their confines, and her hands took the form of claws were sharper then swords. She stood tall in her puddle of blood proud of what she had become. The smoldering innocent skin that used to encase her laid on the cold wet street. Snow began to softly drift down as a bright light flashed overhead, thunder quickly following. The man in the shadows spoke.
"Look at my beautiful creation, In hora autem mortis renasci" She replied in a voice she did not recognize as her own. "What is the task, my lord?"
"Find your first victim and bring them here." As he finished his words, her heightened senses heard foot steps down the dark street. With one thrust of her wings, she was airborne, disturbing the silent snowfall that had begun to pick up. There he was: a man seeking refuge from the harsh blizzard brewing. With haste and precision she swooped down picking up the man and flying back beside her bloody simmering remains of her mortal body.
The mans cries were not met with help, but with a sinister voice "Very good my thrall, now eat him". She didn't give it a second thought her teeth gnawing through flesh and bone, crunching and swallowing. Her eyes focused and looked distant, she relived the fear and pain of his last moments."And so it was the first sin was committed" he said eagerly. "The selling of your own mortal soul. Now find a secluded place to rest we have a lot of work to do." She spotted a belfry in the distance where she rested until sunrise.
