Camila arrived at apartment number 61B and rang the doorbell, her foot tapping impatiently. Just last week, she placed an ad in the school paper saying she was open for dog-sitting at $10 an hour. She and her best friend Dinah needed some more money to help pay their apartment rent, and working part-time jobs by serving drinks at the nearest nightclub was clearly not earning enough for the both of them. Camila needed another way to obtain more money, and the first thing that popped up in her mind was her love for puppies, which sparked the idea for her new dog-sitting job.
One of her fellow classmates from calculus, Ally, saw her ad on the bulletin and asked if she could come around and watch her dog twice a week for a few hours while she worked her shift at the local cafe. Camila happily accepted, which led her to where she was now, standing in front of Ally's apartment which was coincidentally only about 5 floors down from her own.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door being unlocked from inside. The door swung open, and when she looked up to greet her classmate, her eyes met a pair of stunning green ones - ones that definitely did NOT look like Ally's.
The green-eyed girl standing before her was the definition of beautiful; she wore an old, 1975 band t-shirt, covered by a black and white flannel and a pair of gray sweatpants. Her long, luxurious black hair flowed in front of her perfectly poised shoulders, and she looked flawless in the position she was in, the sun hitting her incredibly gorgeous face at exactly the right angle, making her eyes glimmer in the loveliest way. And her eyes. Oh, her eyes were just so perfect. They were the most exquisite shade of green Camila has ever seen, and she couldn't believe that this girl was actually real. Camila opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She tried to speak, to do something, anything, but she couldn't move a muscle. Camila could only stare in awe at the immense beauty standing right in front of her, her eyes raking every inch of her body, mesmerized by the swirling green orbs that seemed to hypnotize her into-
"Hello? Do you need something?"
Camila blinked and took a second to compose herself. The beautiful girl that stood before her was definitely not a fragment of her imagination, and she tried desperately to shake her thoughts away. But within the green-eyed girl's presence, it was nearly impossible.
"Uh, hi," she smiled nervously. "I-I'm here to uh, dog-sit, for um.. what's her name again, Ally? Yeah, Ally. Is she, uh, is she home?" Jesus Christ, Camila, she mentally scolded herself. Get your shit together.
"A dog-sitter? Um, okay, sure, lemme call her down," the green-eyed girl replied warily.
God, her husky voice was driving Camila insane. How can she have this much of an effect on her? Sure, she had her fair share of hot girlfriends, but this girl? She is literally an angel from heaven. No, scratch that, she is a goddess.
"She's coming down in a sec," the girl assured. She tilted her head to the side, her eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. "Have we met before? I'm Lauren. Lauren Jauregui. One of Ally's roommates."
Camila gulped and shook her extended hand with her own trembling one. "I-I'm Camila," she stuttered. Fuck, this is NOT happening right now.She was going to be at Ally's apartment dog-sitting for two days a week. TWO DAYS A WEEK. And she's going to have to be in the same area as Lauren every time? Nuh-uh. No way. I'm going to make a fucking fool of myself in front of her, Camila groaned in her head.
Lauren chuckled. "You're cute," she smiled, stepping back as Ally approached the two.
"Camila!" she squealed. "Thanks so much for helping us out. I couldn't thank you enough." She enveloped Camila in a tight hug, which Camila reciprocated. When she released the girl, she looked between her and Lauren.
