I stared outside the window.

Snowflakes fell slowly, and outside looked like an icy wonderland.

Breathing slowly, I saw my breath in the air, like a puff of smoke.

Being so immersed in watching the snow fall, I didn't notice Kaname until  he wrapped one of his long arms around my waist.

He rested his chin on my head. His own breathing moving my hair slightly.

"You're cold.... Too cold.... Let's close the window, yes?" He whispered.

Using his other arm, he reached out to close the window.

Without thinking, I moved to stop his hand.

"No.... Just one more minute, please? I don't get to see what's outside anymore...." I said.

I stared into his beautiful brown eyes. His eyes that always stare into my soul.

Sighing, he returned to his original position.

"Just one more minute"

I smiled back at him, but was slightly interrupted by a series of coughs.

I saw his face lace with worry and eyes furrowed in surprised.

Quickly, he closed the windows.

"See, I told you!" He whisper-shouted at me accusingly.

He pat my back to help me cough.

"I'm- *cough cough* sorry * cough cough cough*" I tried to speak, but my coughs interrupted me.

Carrying me bridal style, he lift me up and cradled me.

"Shhh.... No need to speak. I know..." Kaname lulled me.

His warmth made me feel warm and fuzzy, and I felt my eyelids slowing.

Laying me down on the bed next to the window, he slipped me under the covers.

"Sshhhhh..... Sleep......" He hushed like as if he was talking to a child.

Using his powers, he tried putting me to sleep.

But I refuse to sleep. During such an important time.

It's my older sister's awakening.

And I refuse to sleep during it.

"Fuyuki, stop. You need to rest." He whispered in my ear.

Quickly, I responded.

"I don't want to. I can't. Not now, at this very moment, okay?"

"No, now is the time you need the most sleep." He leaned in to kiss my forehead.

He applied power to his lips, and kissed my head.

Letting him win the game, I fell to sleep.

Or so he thought.

Faking my sleep, he stared for a moment, and pat my head.

Slowly, he got up and walked to the door.

He opened it, an walked away judging from the sounds of it.

The moment I don't hear anymore clanking shoes, I sat up.

Being locked in a tower in the middle of a strange woods gets tiring.

Not being able to see my fiancé very often makes me worry too.

Especially when I am carrying his child....
