I just kind of stood there awkwardly, not at all sure what to do. I mean, who do I talk to? Where do I go? Do they even know who I am and why I'm here?
"You must be the new kid; (y/n), was it?" a smirking guy with blonde hair and brown eyes stared down at me.

"I'm not a kid, Captain smug git." the guy's smirk only grew at my response and he leaned down, ruffling my hair.
"Your height begs to differ, kiddo." I was about to respond with another insult but a guy with black hair that was previously playing guitar interrupted us.

"Aaron, stop harassing the new singer. New singer, nice insult." I smiled and placed my guitar down, heading over to the black haired boy and reaching out my hand, motioning for him to shake it.
"I'm (y/n)."
"Ren." the guy shook my hand and that was that, he went back to playing his guitar: a progression of power chords that I remember to be from Holiday by Green Day.
I got out my (f/c) guitar, pulling out a tuner and beginning to tune the strings before getting a pick and wrapping the strap around my torso, ready to play when everyone was here.
"Oh, (y/n), hey!" I looked up to see Royce standing next to a boy with red hair that faded into an orangey colour at the end.

"This is Seth, I'm assuming you've already met the others." he introduced and I nodded in response, willing the new boy to shake my hand.
"Sup, I'm (y/n), Hopefully I'm going to be your new singer." he took my hand with a signature smirk.
"Well, (y/n), let's hope so; I'd like to spend more time with you in the future." he began to set up his drums, finishing after about 10 minutes of me getting acquainted with the band.
"Alright, as a test we can just do a practice song; any suggestions?" I tapped my finger on my chin, trying to think of a song that I know the chords and words to and that they would probably also know.
"Do you know 'My Medicine' by the Pretty Reckless?"
"Excellent choice." Royce smirked towards the rest of the boys and began playing chords (Royce, Ren and I are guitarists, Aaron's the bassist and Seth's the drummer).
"Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody mixed my medicine

Well, you hurt where you sleep and you sleep where you lie
Now you're in deep and now you're gonna cry
Got a woman to your left and a boy to your right
You start to sweat so hold me tight 'cause...

Somebody mixed my medicine
I don't know what I'm on
Somebody mixed my medicine
Now, baby, it's all gone
Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody's in my head again
Somebody mixed my medicine again, again

Well, I drink what you leak and I smoke what you sigh
See you 'cross the room with a look in your eye
Got a man to his left and a girl to his right
I start to sweat so hold me tight 'cause...

Somebody mixed my medicine
I don't know what I'm on
Somebody mixed my medicine
Now, baby, it's all gone
Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody's in my head again
Somebody mixed my medicine again, again

There's a tiger in the room and a baby in the closet
Pour another drink, mom, I don't even want it
Then I turn around and think I see someone that looks like you

Well, you hurt where you sleep and you sleep where you lie
Now you're in deep and now you're gonna cry
Got a woman to your left and a boy to your right
You start to sweat so hold me tight 'cause...

Somebody mixed my medicine
I don't know what I'm on
Somebody mixed my medicine
Now, baby, it's all gone
Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody's in my head again
Somebody mixed my medicine
Again, again, again, again, again, again, again, again

Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody mixed my medicine
Somebody mixed my medicine..." I finished off and looked nervously towards the boys, hoping I'd made the cut.
"Guys, I think we've finally found our singer!" Royce yelled, ruffling my hair kindly as I felt a massive smile erupt on my face.
"Guess I'll get to see more of you afterall." I looked beside me to see Seth, he picked up my hand and kissed my knuckles, making me blush slightly.

A few hours later~
I was packing away my guitar, chatting with Seth and smiling.
"...and that's when Royce explained to me that I had picked up the wrong person from the airport. Coming to think of it, that's probably why I'm Ren's least favourite." he finished his story, leaving me in stitches.
"Jesus Christ, you're honestly such an idiot." I calmed down, holding my stomach, and caught sight of Gray walking over to us.
"Hey, (y/n).... And Seth." he didn't seem too fond to see my new friend.
"Hey, Gray, long time no see!" Seth offered a smile but Gray still didn't seem too friendly: an odd characteristic for him.
"It's going to get dark soon, we should be getting home." Gray took my hand, leading me out of the small hall and towards his car out front, leaving me to quickly wave goodbye to my new bandmates. "So, I see you made the cut. You seem pretty close with Seth." he seemed like he was trying to act calm, but said Seth's name bitterly.
"What's wrong, dude? Don't ya like Seth? He seems pretty cool." Gray remained silent and drove us both home, when we were back in our apartment he finally decided to speak.
"Be careful, don't put too much trust it that guy, he's not always Prince Charming." With that, he went to his room and stayed in there for the rest of the night despite it only being 6.
