It wasn't hot in Central City yet, which meant I could still go for a morning jog. I'd take Trixie with me and she'd end up pulling me along. I used to jog with Barry, but things were different now.

Although things had changed, my feelings for him remained the same. I wished that things between us could be the way I wanted them to be, back to us before. He had distanced himself from me, pushing me away from him. It was hard watching him with Iris, not to mention working alongside him.

I needed my best friend these days. The world was losing its shiny, bright, happy glow. The impact of metas on my life was really dragging me down, especially after the four cracked ribs last month.

It wasn't that we had fallen out, it was that I had stood my ground when he tried to talk me out of being on the team. I was working for Star Labs before the particle accelerator exploded and I wasn't going to leave my friends or my job.

While Barry was in his coma, I had nearly died. The explosion had knocked me through a glass panel in the cortex and the impact had broken more than a few bones and cracked my skull open. I had lost my boyfriend, he vanished after the explosion.

Needless to say we were pretty broken when we found each other again.

"Trixie!" I call out as she pulls her leash out of my hands. I run after as fast as I can and trip over my foot. I cuss as I land on the ground, grazing my kneecap. I get up and whistle for Trixie and she trots towards me with her tail in between her legs.

"What meta are we after today?" I ask as I hobble in my heels into the cortex.

"Suprisingly none." Caitlin says as she acknowledges my presence.
"Oh, where's Barry?"

"Bank robbery," Cisco says and he enters the cortex with coffee.

"Speaking of Barry, we need to talk."

"Y/N, we know."

"What are you guys talking about?" you asks, swiftly stealing Cisco's coffee.

"We're not blind, or stupid."

"I don't know what you're talking about," I say, very clearly denying everything.

"Wow! That was fun!" Barry exclaims as he speeds into the cortex.
"We need paperweights." I say and bring the cup to my mouth, surprised when I drink air. I groan as Barry smirks and takes a sip.

"Not funny," I say and take it back, removing the lid and drinking out of the cup.

"What the he'll happened to you this morning?" he asked, looking at your kneecap, where a nasty graze is leading up your thigh.

"Trixie broke free." I frown as Barry chuckles.

"Oh, and the scratches on your cheek."

"I fell, face first."

"I can take a look at it if you want,"

"Thanks Caitlin, but I'm fine."

Barry and Cisco's phones starts to ring. "It's Joe," they say in unison and rush out.

"Now, what's really going on?" Caitlin asks as she sits down in Cisco's chair.

"It's true, I just didn't know that I was being so obvious." I say, running my hand through my h/c hair, that's only just started growing past my chin.

"Why are you biting your lip like that?" I ask Caitlin.

"Cisco says that I don't have a social life."
