Martha & Khalil Newman welcomed the birth of their perfect little boy. He was of caramel complexion, chinky eyes that welcomed you & a strong pair of longs that nearly knocked you off your feet. For them Khal was theor big bang theory.
He was the planets, the stars the moons, the other dimensions. Everything. He was their own little heaven god blessed them with after their first child Maria Martha was said to never give birth again.
Yet they were blessed after yearning for a perfect child who would diminish every disappointment Maria brought about the married couple.
They found he was perfect indefinitely.
At 1 years old Khal was an adorable blubbering baby boy who's curiosity made a bitter old man smile at hope. Even young Maria found the company of her brother a little merry wonderland.
Soon at the age of 6 he was a little league champ who the small girls giggled over and the adult women cooed & pinched hid cheeks affectionately. He was a perfect little boy is what men & women said when they met the charming 6 year old who happily played baseball.
At 16 years old perhaps it was then that Maria knew her 12 year old little brother would be the one to disappoint her parents most of all. Maybe it was they way he blushed when Matthew Long smiled at him or perhaps the twinkle in his eyes he'd get when Johnathan Gooding patted him on the back it could be the time he told her that Matthew Long made his heart beat fast & his hands sweaty.
Either way she knew the day when her brother knew the feeling he had it would be the greatest disappointment her parents could ever feel. It didn't matter to her just like it didn't matter to her just like it didn't matter to others.
She loved her brother & knew that it would take an explosion of a boy to set him off. Luckily for her 10 year old Hiro Maddox was already a fire cracker.
