Chapter 25: A fact's a fact

Carl's pov
I'm walking home cause it's getting dark outside
"Hey" i heard behind me so i turn around
It was Ron.
"What's the deal with your friend?" He asked
"You mean Sophia?" I asked
"Yeah" he said
"She's just having some bad time, just leave her alone" i said and he just looked at me confused
"I'll leave her if you leave Enid" he said
"Excuse me?" I said
"Like you heard, Leave my girlfriend and i'll leave yours" he said
"Um... Enid is not your girlfriend" i said
"Better shut up Carl" he said
"She didn't mentioned that when she held my arm today" i said laughing
"So you really want me to kill you, ok then" he said and tried to punch me but i punched him in his belly and he fell on the floor
"You don't know who're you're talking to, now leave Sophia alone, or i'll be the one who kills you" i said and left him there.
I opened the house door and climbed upstairs, i went into our room and Sophia wasn't there so i went back downstairs and asked Carol "where is Sophia?" I said
"Oh, she told me she has some training to do, she's outside" she said
"Thanks" i said and went out.
I saw Sophia strongly punching one bag, she looked furious and she couldn't see me cause i was like 10 meters away from her.
I saw Ron coming there and they talk, i feel furious now, i just told him to leave her alone, in that moment she smiled and kissed him and he smiled and left.
I was going to jump in and beat him to death but then Sophia would hate me.
I went back in the house and went to my bed i literally wanted to die.

Sophia's pov
I'm curious what is Carl gonna say to me now, of course i saw him staring at me there, i kissed Ron just to see his reaction, just to see if he still likes me or he replaced me with Enid.
I walk in our room and look at him, he's laying in his bad and he looks so broken, i don't know if he's sleeping
"Carl?"
"Yes" he said tired
"What's wrong?" I asked
"Why are you even talking to me? Aren't you mad or something" he said sleepy
"No i never said i'm mad, i just wanna keep distance from you" i said
"So why aren't you?" He asked
"Cause i see you're feeling bad, and i want to know why?" I asked him
"You really think i'm a fool?" He said
"What?" I asked
"You probably saw me looking at you and Ron kissing and now you want me to feel bad" he said
"No, i mean....yes i saw you staring but i didn't want to make you feel bad i saw you in the last moment, i kissed Ron for a reason, i want to hurt him" i said
"Why you want to do that?" He asked confused
"Cause i just do, i'm bored, i want to break his heart, i think he's mean" i said
"Ok, than i'll use it to break his and Enid's relationship, i'll tell her that he kissed you" he said
"Why would you do that?" I asked him
"Cause maybe i like Enid" he said and left the room
I hate this, why is she here, why are those kids ruining everything.
I just laid in my bed trying to sleep but it didn't work, i just kept thinking about what Carl said, how can he like somebody else then me, oh god, Michonne was right, she said he'll find somebody else and that he'll forget me, that's what just happened.
Tear rolled down my cheek, i can't believe it, am i crying because of him? Well the fact's a fact, i love him, i mean i said it before, it didn't change.
I went out again and i saw Carl and Enid kissing, i just run as fast as i can and then when i got to one three i just cried there.
"What's wrong?" One little kid asked me, he had blue eyes and bright brown hair.
"Just go away kiddo" i said
"Sam!" Ron shouted
"Oh so you're there?" He said walking to us
"Woah Sophia, what's wrong?" He asked and tried to hug me
"Get off me!" I shouted
"What? We were kissing like few minutes ago" he said confused
"That was a joke, i hate you, don't ever talk to me again" i said and left
I walked in the house and went to the room, i scrolled the curtains and saw Enid and Carl, they were talking and then he kissed her and walked to the house.
"Hey" he said as he walked in the room
I just looked at him and started searching for my Anne Frank book in my backpack.
I know i read that book few times but i just love it, cause it reminds me of good old days in the prison.
"You're still reading that book" He asked
I didn't answered, i just opened the first page and something caught my eye, i saw handwritten note there and it says: Hey Sophia, I just wanted to say that i love you and that i hope you'll survive this infection, I'm here for you and i'll always love you.

I just dropped another tear and i fast run to the bathroom leaving the book on the bed.

Carl's pov
I saw Sophia is crying so she immediately run to the bathroom, i looked at her bed, i took her book and looked at it, there was a note i wrote when she was infected, oh god this hurts me, i like her ,i do, i mean i love her, i like Enid but i love Sophia, Enid will just go but Sophia is the one who'll stay, i'm just doing this cause i want to show her that i can date other girls too and that i'm not her property, even though i love her and i'll always come back to her.
I fast put her book back and she comes back and lays in her bed, after a couple of minutes she just fell asleep.

•In the next few chapters i'm gonna make things go little faster, you know like wolves coming in the Alexandria and all that.• 🔥
