I found out that sitting in the front row was actually better in some ways. I got to get a closer look at Mr. Brown, while he still thought I was paying attention to the lesson he was giving. Of course, I tried to pay attention, but it just wasn't working. Maybe it would work better if he wasn't so sexy. Then I wouldn't be sidetracked and distracted all the time.

As soon as the bell rang, Mr. Brown called me to stay behind for the second time in two days.

"Alana, I've figured out when I'm going to tutor you." He said with a small smile, folding his hands on the desk.

"And?" I asked, fidgeting nervously.

"What do you have during fourth period?" He asked.

"Umm, gym." I said, wondering how he would take me out of my gym class. It was mandatory for everyone to take gym.

"Good, the gym teacher and I know each other well. I'm sure we could work out a little arrangement without telling the guidance office about anything. You'll come to my classroom every day during fourth period instead of gym class." He said, flashing me a smile. I was staring at the dimple that indented his right cheek when he smiled and made him look so much younger. How badly I wanted to kiss him right now...

"Would you have a problem with that?" He asked when I remained silent.

"Oh! No, not at all!" I assured him before he could change his mind. I hated gym, and I'd be glad I got to miss it.

"Good. Just remember to come to me tomorrow for fourth period." He reminded me. I smiled and nodded and he dismissed me, allowing me to jog to my history class so I wasn't late.

The next day, I was still nervous as hell to go see Mr. Brown next period. He was so intimidating yet attractive at the same time, it just wasn't fair. When the bell rang I gathered my things and walked to his room, opening the door slightly until he spotted me and motioned for me to come in. I put on a fake smile as I shut the door behind me and sat in the same chair as yesterday, right across from his desk. He wasn't eating anything, even though I knew this was his lunch period. What was going on?

"I thought we might try something a little different today." He said, making my heart skip a beat before I remembered he was only talking about the math. Jeez Alana, get a grip on yourself!

"We'll skim over the basics of algebra one, and instead of doing the regular homework for my class you'll be permitted to do other special assignments I give you. Deal?" He asked, his dark brown eyes coming to rest on me.

"Deal." I said, looking back down at the book he was opening.

We spent the period reviewing things I should have known by now (but didn't), and then when we were finally finished there were still a few minutes left. He sighed and shut the book, placing it back in his desk. I felt proud of myself, I had actually been able to focus! I smiled at him and he grinned, standing up and motioning for me to do the same. He walked me over to the door and held it open. I paused and glanced at him, and I saw that he was sliding his sleeves up, once again revealing the mesmerizing spiral of tattoos traveling all the way up his arm. I wonder where else he had tattoos at on his body... He caught me staring and chuckled.

"You like the tattoos?" He joked.

"Yeah, I was thinking about getting one someday." I replied casually.

"Hm, my cousin is a tattoo artist. If you want, I could hook you up for free." He offered. He even sounded like a high schooler! What teacher offered to help a student get a tattoo?!
