Life in the academy eventually died down, however, no one knew of your secret, and you all had decided that was for the best.

You were on laundry duty when two people suddenly appeared from a wormhole. You dove behind a pillar, and used your bionic hearing to focus in on their voices.

"This is the place, Oliver," one voice said. "This is the bionic academy."

They talked back and forth before rustling. Then, you turned the corner.

Because of your mind abilities, you could tell that they weren't from there, but from a superhero hospital called Mighty Med. You never had heard of it, but using your database, you found out... absolutely nothing.

There was no trace of their last location in you extensive database.

"Why are you here and not caring for the superheroes in Mighty Med?" you demanded

They jumped back in shock and shivered under your death glare until the dark-haired one spoke, stepping forward one pace.

"I'm Kaz, and this is Oliver. We're not from Mighty Med, we're from..." he trailed off, looking at the brown haired boy.

"Kalamazoo," he suggested.

You hardened your glare. "Oi, don't you try lying to me. I know every single thing you're thinking, and the fact that Oliver has a large scratch on his left leg. Now, tell me the truth," you demanded. To be fully honest, you didn't know every single thing they were thinking, but you could scan their brainwaves hand have an idea of it.

"(Y/n)!" The sound of Chase's voice entered yours and the two males ears. The duo made a move to run.

You thrusted a hand out, stopping them in their tracks. "Over here!" You shouted, keeping your hand out. The only way that they were staying frozen was with the fact that you were in both of their minds at once, which was tearing yours apart. It was like you were sat in the smack middle of something broken right down the middle, and the only way you could avoid death was by holding on to either side.

By the time that Chase had arrived, your brain was holding on by two small threads.

"Damn it," he muttered looking from Kaz to Oliver to you. "Adam! Bree! Get over here quick!"

Chase, you could tell, was conflicted between the two strangers, and the close-to-head-exploding you.

He knelt in front of you. "Let them go," he said, petting your hair as your knees hit the cold solid ground of the academy. "You can let them go."

You felt light-headed as you let them go, and Bree and Adam arrived. Your breath was far away from you, and you could feel your mind bleeding.

It took you a solid five seconds to realize that you physically broke your brain.

And then you lost consciousness.

Chase held you in his arms, your body having fallen limp. He cursed in his head.

He knew of the dangers your bionics made you face; the pain it made you endure if they weren't used right. He knew that you went through your own personal Hell whenever you used too many of them at once, but it would never fry your bionic infrastructure. Even so, part of the downside of bionics was that something superhuman was placed in a human body: only so much could be taken.

"Guys," Chase said. "Over here." He held your head close as they stopped their conversation.

Adam was the first to rush over to the two of you. You had grown closer to you over the time since you had returned from Paris, and, even though he knew that it was wrong (he would never betray his brother like that), he couldn't help but feel himself slowly fall for you.

"What happened?" Adam asked, kneeling down, placing a hand on your head.

"She was tapped into their heads for too long," Chase said.

Donald ran into the room from the sudden commotion. "What happened?" he inquired.

"Long story short," Bree said. "(Y/n) is dying and there are strangers in the academy. You know, the usual Monday."

Donald's eyes widened as he ran to the two boys. "Guys, if her brain is broken, then..." he trailed off as a sticky warm substance fell into Adam's hand.

"Guys," Adam said, his own hazel-brown eyes widening. "I-I think-" Chase looked at his hand, his heart stopping.

"No, Adam, please tell me that that's not..." Chase trailed off, looking at you.

Your hair had lost the more opaque color and turned dull, and your skin was paler than normal, paired with being ice cold. Even though your eyes were closed, it was obvious that they were glazing over from the strip of eye that could be seen.

"No," Chase said, petting your cheek, feeling tears stream down his own. "No, no, no!"

"We can help," Oliver presented. "Kaz and I- we're from a superhero hospital called Mighty Med. We can help her."

Donald sighed. "Yeah, take her," he said. "Just save her. Save my son's love."

Kaz and Oliver knelt down with Adam and Chase, Bree grabbing hold of Oliver's arm.

Oliver pressed a button, and they were taken away from the academy, and into a large room with medical supplies. It was white with dark blue tiles that made up the floor. It was, in short, a hospital recovery/secretary room.

Adam and Chase lifted you onto a gurney, as Kaz went to talk to a much older man.

"Hang in there," Adam whispered to you, moving the hair from your face. He felt a strange urge to kiss you, but he knew that Chase was right there beside him.

Adam couldn't help the feelings for you that he had grown for you over the past time since Paris. The little things you did around the academy, the little remarks you had made during the classes, and the little chats you had together here and there after classes made his heart flutter and stomach flip. Then, whenever he watched you snuggle up to Chase at the end of the day, he couldn't help but feel a pain in his chest. A burning feeling that filled him whole, and made his heart hurt.

He had felt jealous.

Chase had also fallen more and more for you, and the lifeless look on your face as they pulled you away on the gurney filled his heart with aching pain that made him want to curl into a ball and just sob.

He had loved every aspect of you that he had come to know more and more. Your attitude, your language (even if it wasn't always good), the feeling of you on his chest as you both fell asleep.

Everything.

"Chase, Adam, Bree," Kaz spoke, walking up to them as at least five doctors followed down the hallway they had taken you.

"Will (Y/n) be okay?" Chase asked the dark-haired teenager.

Kaz looked at him with eyes full of sadness and grief. "Undetermined."

Chase and Adam let out shaky sighs.

Let's ignore the fact that, realistically, you would be dead if your brain split in half. Bionics: the real plot armor.
