The Trip

All the way from Tucson, Arizona To Miami was quite a change of scenery. In Tucson, downtown is pretty normal. Reaching the outskirts of small towns nearby are a complete different story. Long roads out in the desert and not many buildings awaited there. Every once and a while you might spot a gas station, but other than that it's just dirt, rocks, and a lot of cacti. It's also super hot. Miami is pretty hot too, but so much more humid. It feels as if the air is ten times thicker and covers you like a blanket. There are also loads of palm trees! It's so pretty, I wish I could stay forever and watch the scenery.

Also, did I forget to mention the peacocks? Yeah, they are EVERYWHERE. I got some fabulous pics of them but it gets really annoying when one of them walks straight in the middle of the road while you're trying to drive somewhere. I won't complain though, obnoxious peacocks aren't as bad as rattlesnakes.

We checked into the hotel last night, and once we reached our room I passed out before managing to print out my pictures. I need more space for the many more I am hoping to take on the scuba trip with my brother, Toby.  I hope I'll have enough space! Anyways, I wake up at about 8 am to get ready for the "brother and sister bonding fun scuba extravaganza" as my parents like to put it. Toby isn't super exited either, but he seems okay with going.

We race to the car to begin our journey to the beach! I jump in shotgun while Toby sits in the driver seat. He looks at me with his bright, vibrant green eyes. His dark hair is super short, because he had just gotten it cut before the trip, and the left side is sticking out.

     Only Toby, I think.

His soft, caramel skin scrunches up into a smile as he begins to say, "Ready?"

"Mhm! I got my camera too." I reply sharply as I wave my camera around in my hands.

He pulls out of the parking lot and we are now off. We didn't talk much the whole ride.

Suddenly he asks, "One question, it's a very important one too."

"What now?" I roll my eyes sarcastically.

"Is this your Final choice in hair color?" he says flipping my hair.

i look down at my wavy brown hair. It has managed to reach my belly button, and I'm happy with that. I love trying new colors, usually spicing things up every three or four months. But I've stayed with his color for a year or so now, and I like it. I feel it looks really nice with my chocolate colored eyes.

"Yeah, I'm done killing my hair now" I laugh at my cringe of a joke. I know, I'm one of those people, don't judge.

"Good, I actually like this one!" He says, as he pulls to a stop. "We're here!"

I look at the Light blue water, and the white sand. Waves were slowly reaching the end where both sand and water met, and it was truly beautiful.
