Sitting high in this tower

Watching the world pass below

Hour by hour

And I'm all alone

The witch has got me

She says "Rapunzel, let down your hair!"

Not a word do I speak

I throw it to her, avoiding her glare

"I wish my prince would come and save me"

"Be carful what you wish for dearest"

"But I just want to take my leave"

"Dear, the boys out there are sickest"

A man comes one day, trying to help

To take me away

I say it won't work, that life'll stay this way

Enchanted, but the witch, I can't tell

Days pass and he arrives again,

Dancing across the dried up riverbed

Bringing me gift that one could only adore

He does not know that I want more

I want an experience

I want to go across unexplored barren lands

I want an ever-changing scenery's appearance

But the witch will constantly mess up my plans

So alas, I'm stuck here for eternity

While my pretty prince is probably stuck up a tree

The witch slumbers once more

And here I am, waiting for more
