Prologue

"Nice game, babe." My boyfriend, Jacob says kissing me on the cheek as I walk out the locker room.
"Thanks, love." I say. "No problem. So, I was thinking, maybe we can, you know, go back to my place and hang out." We begin to walk up the steps to the main floors of our school.
"I would love to, but I really need to study for Ms. Kelly's test tomorrow. You know how strict she is, Jake." I tell him. He opens the door for me and I walk through, entering the corridors."But you are already smart. You don't need to study." I role my eyes and stop right in front of my locker. I look into his beautiful eyes and as sincerely as I could, and turned him down.
"As much as I want to come over and play in that beautiful curly hair of yours, I can't today. Just too much work, hun. Ms. Kelly's test is tomorrow, and I really need to study. I promise you, I will make it up, okay?" I say. He frowns, not answering me. "Come on Jakey, I am very busy. You know this!"
"Yeah, I know, but Addie, you haven't had time for anything. Not me, not your friends, not even dancing!" He says. I roll my eyes and open my locker.
"Addie are you even listening to me? Do you know that we have a dance competition coming up and you haven't even came to practice." He says. I grab my keys and close my locker. "I'm sorry Jake, I've been busy with softball. The season is almost over with."" But than you have Volleyball and than basketball and----" I kiss him to shut him up. He was getting annoying and I knew there was no way this argument was going to end anytime soon if I kept talking.

He pushes me against the locker, deepening the kiss. His hands began exploring my body. I didn't care. Whatever the cameras saw, it saw. Wasn't like we were going that far. I just wanted a good, passionate kiss from my boyfriend. Haven't had one in a while being that I am so busy.

Just before Jacob could pick me up and take me into some kind of closet, my best friend, Austin, walks through the doors from the weight room.
"Addie are you---- grossss. Get a room." He exclaims.
Jacob frustratedly stopped kissing me. I step away from him, straightening my self out.
"We were going to get
one until you came up and interrupted us!" Jacob says folding his arms. "Ooooo, best friend was actually going to go that far." Austin teases putting his arms around me. "No way. Definitely not. And he knows that," I give Jacob a look. "Besides I need to----" "Study.... We know." Jacob and Austin says in unison.
"She is a very busy Lady. Doesn't even have time for us." Austin says. "I'm sorry. Oh, Austin, Dad wants you over to help Zachary with his soccer this weekend. And Jacob I will send you the link to a couple dances I was looking at, maybe we can practice while Austin is teaching Zach. Than I get to you both. BAM, I made time." I say. "How much time?" Jacob asks. I think.
"Well, daddy wants to take the family riding on the trail Saturday morning. And we are going to the movies at four, than to dinner. So, maybe around oneish to three-thirtyish. At one I'll help with Austin and two thirty I'll dance with Jacob and than in the last thirty minuets or so, we can all hang together.... Sounds good?" I ask, not really caring if they liked the plan or not.
"Fine with me." Austin says.
     "I guess." Jacob says.
"Great! Can't wait to hang with you guys. See y'all tomorrow. And don't forget to study for Ms. K'a test. Can't have my two favorite guys failing." I say as I walk away.

When I got home, I found my father, Dr. Alexander Laurens, talking to some man on the porch. I get out the car and start walking toward them.

     "Ahh, here is the other half of the twin. Did you guys win the game?" My dad asks as I give him a hug.

    "You know it. 30-10." I say smiling.
    "That's my girl, oh uh, Mr. August, This is my oldest daughter, Addison."

    "Hi Addison, my wife, son, and I actually moved in a down the street. I was examine the neighborhood and I saw this magnificent place. Looks pretty nice." He says shaking my hand.
